Just had a call from a lady at Swampyboom.  It seems that Bangkok Airways' reservations computer died yesterday - result? No on-screen confirmation of bookings available today.  Staff paralysed about issuing boarding cards, long and increasingly angry queues.

My pal side-stepped by buying a new ticket for cash and flashing her Bangkok Airways frequent flyer card..

So ... if you have a flight this afternoon, it might be a good idea to arrive well ahead of the normal check-in time and make sure you have a fistful of cash on you.
