Trip Ruined Due to Being Sick as a Dog - Has it Happened To You?

So I am about to wrap up my second trip to Thailand and I've barely been out of my room. I've been to the hospital more than I've been to the beer bars. I'm averaging about two sessions per week. Completely ruined trip. To top it all off I injured myself (slightly) to boot.

How did you recover from a ruined trip due to health issues?

My plan is to return in a few months and be strapping and healthy so I can make up for all of the young women I couldn't fuck on this trip. I plan on going through them like a power drill.

Sick due to preexisting condition (health issue) or sickness contracted after arrival in Thailand (food poisoning, etc)?

Any chance of a travel (medical) insurance claim?

Couple of years ago i caught what i thought was a cold a few days before a trrip. Got worse but i still went. 10 days in Pattaya and not even a single short time. Diagnosed with pneumonia when i got home.

My first solo trip to Pattaya in 2010.

Don't know how I got it, but by the morning of the third day, I was so sick. High fever, terrible headache and body ache all over, like the worst flu I ever felt. I was out of commission for several days, and could barely walk outside just to get some gatorade to sip on. I didn't feel somewhat normal until a week later, so of course mongering was out of the question for first part of trip.

Two Buddha holidays happened to fall on my second week, so my whole trip was almost a wash. But luckily I barfined a hostess from Baccara on my last night, and she was the one that truly turned me onto the beauty of GFE sex with a bargirl. It was just pure magic with her, flirting and kissing her all night as we went gogo hopping, and back in the room she melt in my arms as I hungrily kissed her.

Hey, the same thing happened to me at about the same time!

I was really very sick for 2 days with fever and then unwell for about a week.

I'm a guy who continues to function almost normally if sick or drunk, so I managed the situation by barfining girls from diverse bars.

I always ordered tea with lemon slices and was upfront about me being sick.

I haven't been turned down even once by the girls, they have been real sweethearts, staying awake at night to pamper me, occasional blowjobs and cowgirls, cooked tea for me, washed me in the bathroom... one even didn't want any money (but got it anyway).

Much better than a hospital stay.

That said, I have also stayed for a hospital for a short time, and I must say the average Thai nurse's looks are enough to improve patients' condition :-)

Thailand is a great country.

Also really bad Insomnia (2 to 3 hours sleep per night further weakening my immune system).

sounds similar to what i had years ago .. for me i was told it was dengue fever and was out for a good week with it. the only concellation the girl i was with when i got sick stayed with me and looked after me.

if i had been on my own i would have been fucked... she litterally was florence nightingale with a few extra through in ... never forget her taking care of me like that...

everyday she would give me a bed bath and try and give me a blow job and from that deduce if i was on the road to recovery or not.. finall after about 10 days she finally got to raise to the occasion and shot my load prognosis i was cured  lol

would have  not got that health care at home  :GoldenSmile1:

I looked up dengue fever, and apparently one of the side effects is a nasty rash all over your body/back?

I didn't experience any rash, so not sure what it was. It just felt like the flu, but a lot worse than any I have experienced back home.

Sounds like a good way to deal with it.

I was just too sick to even go outside for most of that first week. I barely got out of my bed one night to stagger to a nearby store to get some pain/fever medication and gatorade. I actually had to cancel a Devils Den appointment because I was so sick.

I got really sick the 3rd day into my last trip from what appeared to be food poisoning. I went the a local pharmacy on Soi Diana and explained my condition the best I could. The lady said "bacteria stomach, no good for you.... you want to remove from stomach?" I said yes, but did not know what this would lead me to. She then gave me 3 charcoal pills to swallow with lots of water all at once. I did not know what those pills were for.... at the time!

Well, immediately after swallowing the 3rd charcoal pill I started to throw up like there was no tomorrow. I ended up throwing up for several hours. I then knew what she meant when she asked "want to remove from stomach?". I started to feel better the next day. So my overall downtime was about 2 days. Not bad, it could have been worst as I got badly dehydrated during the peak of this episode.

This is the only time I have been sick in Thailand in over 5 years. I will try to phase in local food over a longer period next time, in the hope it will be easier on my system.

Activated charcoal pills as commonly used, are toxin absorbing, not an emetic (vomit inducing). If one has food poisoning already, whatever one ingests is likely to be expelled in short order. Glad you got over it.
