Adelphi Pattaya Hotel

Sorry BMs I am having a little trouble picking a hotel because there are to many choices and I still have a lot of time before my trip.

BUT, I have been surprised to find the Areca has many of the days I plan to be in Patts sold out already !!

The Adelphia, looks close to LKMetro, not to big of a hotel, great looking rooms and apparently on a quiet street. It gets great reviews.

Has anyone stayed there ??

Thanks,

Not stayed, but can see it from my condo.

Was shut about 6 months and completely refurbed last year, previously called Panalee or something like that.

My only reservation is that there is a Thai disco right next to the place, make sure you book a room on the Third Rd side, not Soi Buakhao side.

Walk to LK area probably less than 10 minutes.

A friend stayed there earlier this summer and said there were a lot of Chinese tourists.  They tend to stay up late, shout to each other with their room doors open and generally loud.  He will stay elsewhere when he returns.  From reading other reviews, this seems to be a common complaint in hotels that do group tours, especially with Chinese groups.  They are considered to be not very respectful of others at hotels.  There is also a body massage place across the street which caters to the Indian community but they do not impact hotel living.

Common sense is not very common.

I checked the Adelphia as well as several other hotels in this area for a recent stay. I've stayed in numerous hotels all over Patts over the past 10 years & always like to try somewhere didderent.

Ended up staying at 247 Boutique hotel. Excellent choice. This will be my Patta home from now on. New hotel, great room, all reception staff speak good English, rooftop pool, good breakfast. Short walk to bars, gogo's & restaurants.  http://www.247boutiquehotelpattaya.com/

Just my opinion.....     Cheers.....     Mal.
