New Tires for Truck

Recommended Posts

I have a 2009 Ford Ranger XLT 2WD with 95K kilometers on the original Bridgestone Dueler tires.  Time to get new rubber for sure.  I have looked at several.  The tire size is 245/70-16.   Michelin Lattitude Tour for 5350 baht.  Bridgestone Dueler 5000 baht.  Yokohama Geolandar HTS for 4500 baht.

Do BM's have experience with these tires and recommendations?  My priorities are wet and dry grip and quietness,  Then long wear and price.

Are the tires that are available in Thailand the same as those in the USA or Europe is there a difference in the rubber content and other specs?

I have heard that tires that are from Laos have a higher rubber content compared to Thailand and thus have better grip and more quiet but may not last as long.

I am not a tire expert so any advice would be helpful.  I have looked at some tire reviews online but they have not been too helpful so far.

Thanks

I changed mine at 60k recently and thought I was pushing limits... I chose bridgestone ecopia and so far found no issues.
