Extra costs for short term Condo/Apt rental

Hello, I have always stayed in hotels the many years I have visited  Pattaya and am looking to stay in a Condo/Apt my stay this November for one month. I was wondering from those of you that have done this,  what is the estimated cost for water, electric and other additional cost for these rentals. And If anyone has any recommendations for one near Soi Buakhao. Looking to spend about 1000 Baht a night. Thanks.

It depends who you rent from.

Generally, short-term rentals include water & electricity. Some don't.

Many charge for end of rental cleaning, some don't.

I think all will ask for a security deposit in case of damage and will want the entire rental charge up front in cash on arrival.

You will usually need to arrange your own cleaning and laundry for bedding. I paid 300 baht a time for cleaning when I stayed in VT7 but twice a week was enough. If you plan on lots of company and changing bedding daily then that may be 100-200 a time for laundry as well.

Not sure about recommendations in your price range?

Nirun Condo will be under that but may be a little too far away for you.

Pattaya Centre Condo may be in your price range but some mixed reports.

Others like Avenue, VT6 etc will be more than you want to pay.

Thank all who responded  for quick response as I have 28 days till touch down. I wonder If I should book in a hotel for like 3 days and look around once Im there.

I think you should shop around. For a sector that is desperately short on business they sure make a lot of demands.

I'm sure you'll get more suggestions before too long. Others will have a better idea than me of options.

If you don't want a swimming pool, one of the guesthouses near Buakhao may be a better choice for you?

From what I've seen, you're not going to have too many Condo options under 1000 a night unless you look further out - Pratumnak/Jomtien etc.

Stayed at the Avenue Residence condo for 3 month (jan, feb, mar). Rent was 20K a month (1 month they will probably ask 22-23 but maybe not, this is assuming they even have anything available for a 1 month). Electric was around 3K per month (35 meter studio), water was something like 180 baht per month or something like that. Room cleaning: there is no room cleaning like in a hotel. It's your apartment for a month and you keep it clean yourself. If you do need cleaning you can request it downstairs for something like 300 baht. At the end of my stay I was also charged something like 1-1.5K one time cleaning fee. 1 block from Soi Buahkao. I liked the condo.

P.S I had to put 20K deposit which was returned to me at the end of my stay.

Where is this ? Reminds of the cheap hostels back home years ago that always seemed to be run by devout christians.

I offer one price for the whole short-term condo rental period on my web site:  www.viewtalaycondos.com

I can confirm the price quoted is absolutely the price you pay. No extras.

A couple of issues, but I'd happily use him again.
