EVA Airways has a new customer for life. My flight to Taipei today was being delayed by over an hour making my connection to Houston tight. They assured me at counter my connecting flight would

wait for my arrival before heading off to Houston. I left counter after checking in wirh over 3 hours to kill because of late departure. About an hour into waiting, I am sitting in airport restaurant when a beautiful EVA agent introduces herself and asked me if I wanted earlier flight that was leaving? Of course I do! How did she find me in spacious BKK? She just smiled when I asked her that. She had all my info. She left briefly and returned with new boarding passes. Would not see this service in USA!

An update. After getting new boarding passes, got on my flight, it was late leaving, stayed in line on tarmac waiting. Got to Taipei, had us hold at outer marker due to heavy incoming. I knew connecting would be tight. Told flight attendant this. She assured be the connecting flight would wait. Got off plane. They ran me thru Transfer and onto plane. They were closing the door right behind me. I don't think they would have waited long. It was an on time departure. Will book earlier flight next time. Came real close to spending night in Taipei. One flight only going to Houston.

I had the latest flight possible out of Bkk to Taipei in July. This flight gave me about 50 minutes to catch the Houston flight. Everything was on time until we got to Taipei and had to hold due to traffic. Pulled into the gate with about 10 minutes to catch Houston flight. Eva staff was waiting at top of escalator to escort to the gate. I've flown Eva I think 5 times and have always had really good experiences with them, they are my airline to Bkk of choice.

 

I really like the new Houston route. Much better than flying to the west coast from the southeast.

This will be my first EVA flight. It will be a long haul, but I am looking forward to it now!

I love it airlines go beyond to accommodate passengers.  My best experience was with Emirates. I had a stop over in Dubai on my way to Amsterdam. The dimwit that I am , I put my phone to charge & left it behind. The Terminal was close 20 mins drive from the airplane as they had some construction going on. I lost all hope of ever seeing my phone again. I explained the situation to the ground staff. They took down my seat number.  How they did it I will never know. Capt had called for departure . They held the door open. 1 Indian guy runs inside , hands me over my phone neatly packed in bubble wrap with my name & seat number printed on it. I couldnt thank them enough. I would have got screwed with all my business contacts on it ( This was Pre-Cloud days). 

Now I always fly Emirates whenever I can.
