Sofitel Sukhumvit: joiner friendly ?

Hi,
I normally stay on Soi 11 in President hotels but this year some wealthy friends are coming over and want an upgrade... They were considering Sofitel Sukhumvit... Can anyone confirm we won't be asked for a joiner fee ?
(Happened to me just one time in Phuket, my friend didn't check before the booking, in the end I could make them bend down to no joiner fee by threatening them to cancel all our reservations... So if I could avoid that again... No way I pay even a cent extra for bringing a girl back to my room !)

Haven't stayed there but it looks very cool….prize location…..these kind of hotels have no problems with bringing back a lass or two.

As always, stride in like you own the place.

You don't need to threaten them. I stayed there for about 15 times. No joiner fee. The security won't even collect the girl's ID. Some people like that (me) and some may not.

Mmmmm. Hmmmm.

Agreed. Let's keep it classy.

Try to ask for a higher floor room and face Sukhumvit road. You will have a better view than the rooms face the back road. A tall building will block most of the view. I have some pictures and may post them here late.

I have stayed there got upgraded Exec room but looking out the back, was great, no problem girl coming and going. But a room at front would be much better.

This is the view I was talking about. I took it from the club suite. You could see as far as the bridge at Chao Phraya River (I circled it). Face the back, you see a tall building.

Hi .... anyone stay at the Salil hotel on sukhumvit soi 11 in Bangkok ?

Stayed there for 8 nights early December last year. The rooms are smallish but really spotless and nicely decorated in warm colours with an old world feel to the furnishings.

Once past reception your room key card opens an inner sliding door that lead's to the elevators. No joiner fee,can register your guest or go straight to that inner door as night reception was usually drowsy.
