Hotel with pool in the Lk/Central area

I stayed in WS last trip and although it was convenient at night, I was bored as hell during the day. I only went to the beach a couple of times because it was so crappy. I want to relax by a pool this time.

 

Anybody have recommendations for a hotel outside of WS with a pool and a budget of under 1000 baht? Preferably along or near the baht bus route.

It's on southern Soi Buakhao. Small pool/sundeck, nice and cheap rooms and the location is quiet. Owner is Danish and jolly chap. Baht buses to the south and north as it's on Buakhao. 5 minutes to WS and LK with baht bus. Sundeck have the sun from morning till the sun set.

Sutus Court is always my choice, it has a huge Jacuzzi as well as a good pool and it is well set back from both Soi Buahkow and Soi Lengkee.

Girl friendly, no id or check in needed.  It is old style, very clean and tidy but not modern or posh.  Suits me anyway. Next week, one month.

24 7 hotel on soi Honey (2 minutes walk from LK) is terrific; modern, upmarket, gym and roof-top pool...but at around 1,400THB is outside the quoted budget. The sister hotels in the same soi are H Boutique and Honey Inn are under 1,000THB. I am told that these are of a good standard and that you can use the pool (for free) at 24 7. Also, this price includes a very tasty breakfast for 2.
