Best signal at the beach?

I need to choose a cell phone provider when I arrive at BKK airport. I have a LG G3 android that is gsm 950 and not LTE. My biggest concern is signal strength for data/internet in and around the beach, and inside of buildings that do not have wifi.  I want to have a SIM card installed at the airport, and want unlimited data as well for a month. 

 

Any suggestions?

 

On a side note...what is the best weather ap for Pattaya? Something with zoom in Doppler radar and alerts?

 

Please don't get too technical with the responses. I'm not that advanced.

dtac or true will both suit your needs ..... can't help with the weather app i am old school i look out the window to check the weather

I would recommend Dtac or AIS (ie One2call) as they have the best coverage. Both have unlimited data plans and both have booths at the airport.

 

I have never used True but have been told that their coverage is not as good.

99% sure I used dtac - the only place I can recall having trouble getting a signal was in Sensations.  

 

Seriously...my phone was virtually dead in there.  I even turned it off, then turned it back on when I left to get a damn signal.

 

(to answer the quite obvious questions - why in the HELL were you looking at your phone in Sensations, moron?" - I was trying to find a girl who worked there and wanted to text to see if she was working....there ARE worse places to be without phone reception -- lots of nice TGs to look at!  555)

Thailand doesn't have weather apps like we do in the US, with every local TV station having online Super Live Mega Doppler 9000 StormTracker systems. 

Basically (AFAIK) weather radar is run by the Government, here's the best link.
