Coming from a family with a with a long history of baldness Tom Heley wasn't surprised when he started losing his hair at the age of 21.

What did catch him unawares was how extremely self-conscious his baldness made him feel and how it knocked his confidence.

To compensate he grew his hair long and used hats and dry shampoo in an attempt to disguise his bald patches.

But despite trying ‘every product under the sun’ by the time he approached his 30th he feared their was no-way back.

That's when his dad stepped in and instead of the traditional watch or cufflinks treated him to a hair transplant procedure for his 30th birthday.

I think I would have been more concerned with being a Ginger rather than the prospect of going bald .... ;) but from the after pic , looks like he had tackled that issue as well , fair play to him :)

If it floats, flies or fucks It's probably cheaper to rent ...

I actually think its sad the father fed his sons insecurity rather than helped build his confidence. My hair started thinning when I was about 20 tried hiding it but in the end I accepted it and had it number 3 clipped off. Best thing I ever did. If I had the chance to have a full head of hair now I would pass I'm happy with the way it looks and people pick up on that self confidence.

Believe nothing just because a so-called wise person said it. Believe nothing just because a belief is generally held.

Believe nothing just because it is said in ancient books. Believe nothing just because it is said to be of divine origin.

Believe nothing just because someone else believes it.

Believe only what you yourself test and judge to be true.

Many would only get a cap as birthday present .......an many more buy them by a dozen their-self .... I guess the dad has guilty feelings for giving those bad genes ....,as look even " HE " likes hair now :Laugh1:

"Some" people look fine with it clippered down to Grade 2's or whatever but a lot of people look gross. Not a good look. You're only getting one chance in life. I'm wearing well at 55 but have researched the procedures and costs and will have no hesitation in having it done prior probably to 60 ish.

People that want to shave it all off fine you go ahead  !!  Daddee will be along in a minute but only a bit of banter even if true.
