China blasts death toll hits 85 as firefighters battle blaze

TIANJIN, China (AFP) - The death toll from giant blasts in a northern Chinese port city has risen to 85, officials said Saturday, as firefighters battled to finally extinguish the days-long blaze at the devastated industrial site.

My Chinese GF indicates China has limited the information going out. She is getting word on her WeChat app there could be up to 400 deaths.  

 

She also mentioned one of the chemicals fires or explosions was cyanid.  If true, things can get really ugly.
