3bb download speeds

Just signed up for the 3bb 15mbps package

 

Did a few speed tests over the weekend, and I am getting 8.2 to 9.2

 

I never expect to get the full amount, because they always say "up to 15", but I thought I would get a lot closer to 15 than that

 

Any experiences to share?

 

If you are paying for 15, what speed should you expect to get in reality??

cant say about 3bb but i am paying for 12 mb download with True and when i have tested always getting 11.5 or better

I live in Jomtien and have the 3BB 10mb package and typically get download speeds of 11mb+

I am impressed

 

I lived in Singapore before coming to Thailand, and both Singtel and Starhub you were lucky to get 60% of what you subscribe to

run a test on    ookla  then do a ping test to see what the packet loss and jitters are , 

 

i get about 13  down 1.2 up

I have been doing testing for 3 days now

 

Never above 9mbps ….early evening it dropped to 1-2mbps, and at one stage to 0.69mbps

 

I would expect to lose a little at "rush hour", but not 90%

 

Just installed new telephone cables from my room down to condo main building as well

But what subscription do you have??

 

If you are paying for the 10mbps package, that is impressive!

 

If you are paying for 300mbps, not so

 

I am trying to get a feel for what is normal in terms of subscription speed v reality

Strong numbers there.

 

As reference - here in the US, on Comcast's "Blast" package, here's what I get.

 

 

The real challenge is getting decent latency btw Thailand and the US (or whatever your country of interest is) - that's where the lack of performance hurts.
