SUPER CHEAP FARES FOR MEL-BKK-MEL FLYERS

Recommended Posts

Ok Melbourne chaps heres good news, sorry to all other PA members.

Singapore's LCC Scoot is Flying MEL-SIN-MEL from November 2015.

As a result of Jetstars price guarantee (find cheaper fare and we'll beat it by 10%...

I am flying MEL-BKK on Boxing Day 26 DEC - for $250 AUD

I am flying SIN - MEL on 10 January - for $11.14AUD

OK so I also use Jetstar vouchers earned on my JS Platinum Mastercard, but the fares are still drastically cheaper.

Foolproof Instructions

1. Search days using www.momondo.com MEL-SIN-MEL

2. Compare the price of Scoot vs Jetstar, currently Scoot is significantly lower, in both directions

3. Of course you could choose to go up via Sing and back direct or vice versa to give you options eg Cambo or Vietnam

4. Once you have found the best scoot fare (which sometimes is not actually on the scoot website) call up Jetstar

5. Screw them nice n hard

6. You could also price beat them on the SIN-BKK or BKK-SIN leg but note if you have checked bags you need to recheck in Sing

Example tonight

Wife n Daughter flying back 21 January. Jetstar $614 each = $1200

Using price beat at 255pm from BKK against Tiger, and at 9pm ex SIN against Scoot = $235 = $470

A huge saving.

Of course it is far simplest if like me you have carry on only.

Go see for yourself.   All money better spent in Thailand eh???

And of all the airports to transit through, Singapore is the best.....

If coming back consider leaving early from BKK partying all day at Blowfish or Ipanema in OT then hopping the 9pm out...

Perfekt

A good price but I'd rather go direct, you lose about a day all up with connections and waiting which is three girls. It's only about 850 to fly direct.

Ever booked for a may/June trip from oz, if so is it better locking in a price early or trying to snag a deal a couple of months out?

No, the jetstar flight up from melb via singapore now gets in earlier than the direct flight which now leaves at 4pm....

And the flight back direct leaves on Saturday night. and not Sunday.  If you fly back via Singapore u can leave on the 240pm flight on Sunday into singy at 630pm catch the 9pm flight out of singapore and into melbourne at 730am - and crawl into work...done it.

so in fact you can get more time value - flying via singapore...
