Sim card changes

Have had my AIS number for over five years, got a call three days ago telling me I was required to register by the end of the month or it would be disconnected.

Went to AIS shop yesterday to complete the process and was issued with a new SIM, same number.

I think this is legit and a few naysayers are going to get a surprise when their phone is cut off and they lose their numbers.

Agree......I have lived in other countries with exactly the same requirement.......they have extended the date but it could get interesting, particularly following heightened tension post-bombing in BKK.

I posted in another thread that they have cancelled the extension due to the bombing.

SIM's are now being cancelled. Incoming calls will be accepted for 30 days after cancelling then switched off completely.

Don't know how long it will take for them to cancel the millions of unregistered SIMs.

(pulls up chair, grabs popcorn. waits for the usual naysayers that refuse to register)
