PT Laundry Soi Chaiyapoon

This is a great laundry service located on Soi Chaiyapoon across from Crazy Daves bar.  They use a machine dryer and also folds and packs your clothes for you. You also have the option to iron your items for a minimal price.  The turn around is 24hrs but you can request a rush service for a little extra. My clothes came out nice and fresh smelling with no damage to my dress shirts. I highly recommend this place for its service and location.

another recommendation is my TGF's relatively new laundry (and rooms for rent) on the little soi before soi 15 off of Bukhao (turn in at the Asian Backpackers bar) and it is on the right a few doors down... brand spankN new washing machine, dryer, and a combo washer/dryer... Pla and her Mom make a winning combo for washing (Mom does it) and ironing, folding, packing (Pla handles that)... so far so good with business pretty steady in the laundry and hotel... the name of the place is Pla's Laundry and Rooms for Rent...

I wasn't aware anyplace in Pattaya used a dryer. I just always figured there weren't any.

Even though my Pla's laundry has a dryer, Pla's Mom will hang stuff out in the front of the shop (fortunately not a heavy trafficked road that many laundry's front onto) rather than use the dryer... I think air drying is the preferred method... If it is rainy, etc - then the machine dryer would be used... I am sure there is some complicated formula for when the dryer is used versus air drying... maybe I'll ask Pla about that complicated decision process...

no website up yet, sorry to report... it is at a location that used to be a business called Bacione Bar Restaurant Room for Rent... I found this yesterday while trying to locate Pla's using google maps... that old business has a google plus web page -> https://plus.google.com/114262524739159738948/about?gl=us&hl=en that includes a google maps insert, showing the location... the ground floor is no longer a restaurant - it is a laundry now... the room shown in the photo on that google plus site is pretty much the same... very big rooms (1 per floor - 3 floors - but/sorry no elevator and Thai stairs (too small - but good exercise!)), with new flat screen TVs, free WiFi (that needs work - True needs to come back and probably rerun the wire into the building as the connections drop frequently), A/C (units were recently serviced), new bedding/towels, new hot water heaters in the showers... there is still work to be done - one room needs a new mattress - probably all the mattresses should get swapped out/new ones in the future... Pla has had a steady stream of customers in 2 of the 3 rooms... they seem happy with their stay - one customer has been there 3 weeks... the location is convenient to Bukhao (and the restaurants/bars along it, including the LK Metro area), the Bukhao baht bus transportation system, to Avenue (Starbucks, Villa Market, McDonalds), 7-11s, Food Marts... I was surprised that there is a steady stream of vendors that go up the small soi selling all sorts of food, clothes (for TGs), etc... the phone number of the business is 092-3418464, and email address is [email protected] ...

are you interested in pricing for the laundry or the rooms for rent?  or both?

I might be making a sneaky trip early next month and are shopping around for accommodation, great location!

Have you thought of making a Facebook business page up? Quite easy to do, then you can add your website to it later!   Put the FB link in your PA sigline!...

Can you post some pics of the rooms with daily/weekly/monthly rates?

Might be worth starting a new thread just for that business,if you haven't done so already.

good idea about the FaceBook business page... thanks for that... its been definitely a real good learning experience for Pla... she has been in Pattaya a couple years now, worked in a relative's laundry/hotel business on Soi Post Office, massage in the Bukhao area, and in a Walking Street AGoGo (where we met)... Pla has many friends/acquaintances in Pattaya, she is outgoing, friendly, and tries hard in all that she does, and wants to make this a successful business... its funny how Pla is already thinking way ahead of herself - thinking about renting another building to have more rooms for rent, and also wants to set up her younger brother in a internet/copy shop up in her village in Surin, where she is from (we bought him a Canon combo printer/scanner and he has used it to make copies for people in the area and apparently is making OK money off of that informal business - he is about 13 years old)... I try to tell Pla to have realistic expectations but I guess it is good that she has her sight set on a successful business future...

also - for BM Jay5335 - sorry to have hijacked your thread... saw an opening when you mentioned a laundry business and then have been responding to NixonsBest requests for more info... again, sorry for the thread hijack...

i think was using pt on my last trip, but it might of been another place as theres 2 laundry close to chow soy i think, and i didnt check the name, anyway it had  excellent service, nice polite couple who run it as well.

I been using PT laundry for the last few years, ever since I been staying at Chow Soy next door. It's convenient, you can get a haircut as well. And it has a steady run in from bg's picking up clothes or getting their hair done. It is indeed a very nice Thai/farang couple that runs it, never been disappointed.

I also have used the PT laundry for years and always excellent service from Pat & Doc. Lovely people.

It's the place I always use when in town.

Both Pat and Doc are honest people. I have left things in my pockets and they always return them.

One more who's used PT-Laundry for years, on my twice-per-year visits, would definitely recommend and they even remember my name now.  It's always worth supporting the businesses who do things right !
