Pattaya's Quality Buffets

My wife and I enjoy a day or night out at a good quality buffet.  I would like to know more about any of the QUALITY buffet's you have been to.

This is NOT about "who has the cheapest buffet" which means I am not asking for your experience of the Lek or Apex buffet.  I'm looking for the higher end buffets, and it can be for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

To get started, here is one link on the Mercure Buffet from last year:  http://www.pattaya-addicts.com/forum/topic/241281-seafood-bbq-buffet-at-hotel-mercure/?hl=buffet

Onc saturday each month we go to the Hard Rock hotel for the Seafood - All-you-can-eat Lobster buffet (as well as shrimp, octopus, and other seafood).  We pay about $33 per person (1000b?).  I have my complaints about the way they play games with the amount of lobster they cook on busy nights, but other than that I enjoy getting my fill of lobster.  My real complaint is that they don't change the other food on the buffet - ever.  I've been going there for years and the buffet contains the same food each time.  There is also a fresh cooked pig that is always tasty.  Outside seating is available, but there is a huge indoor airconditioned seating area.  Service (getting refills of water or other drinks is often slow).

Before the Hardrock, we used to attend the Montien hotel Seafood Buffet regularly.  When the quality decreased, we stopped going as often.  The hotel has been sold and has a new owner -- and since then we have not been back to sample the buffet.

A few times per month, we eat lunch at the Hilton Edge Theme Buffet (about $19USD/600b with drinks).  I'm not impressed with this buffet at all but my wife enjoys it.  If it weren't for her, I would have written the Hilton off the rotation.  I find the quality has taken a HUGE downturn, and they intentionally slow down many of the items to encourage guests to eat what is already fixed.  Our last visit, I was among 20 people in line for 15 minutes for various items.

We have tried the Buffet at the Centara Grand in Naklua but do not go anymore.  The restaurant is outdoors and has begun catering to Russians, which has changed the menu items substantially.  Add that to the parking issues and the higher cost (buffet was more than hardrock but don't remember the exact amount), we decided to find a replacement.

Please share your experience with the nicer buffets.  Thanks.

Never heard of eatigo either but took a look at the website and it seems like a great deal.

Cherry's is always one of the places we go when we are in Pattaya.

They have buffets on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

What is on the plate? I guess, meatloaf, cream potatoes and LINGONBERRY jam.

So Swedish and mouth watering!

199b it is real bargain price.
