condo question

I'm thinking of renting a condo on a 6 month lease next year while I adjust to life in Thailand and decide where I want to settle. My question is about bringing ladies to my condo, is is permitted in most condos? Also are there Thai families living in most condo buildings, I would not be comfortable bringing women to a building that has families with children living in it. Any info would be appreciated, thanks.

In general no problems bringing girls to your condo, but you may be required to have her leave her id card with security.  Most buildings have a mix of residents including Thai families with and without children and Thai / Falang families with and without children.  In general people are not going to care who you bring back to your room and there is no "walk of shame".  The only time there is issues is when people are really drunk or act obnoxious, both of which will draw attention to you and your guest.

Bear in mind all condo buildings will have a majority Thai ownership, so certainly there will be Thai people living in every condo building in Pattaya,

 

I live in a condo with my Thai lady and teenage daughter.  Luckily we don't have many issues because we have good security guys who attend to problems quickly.  

 

People who rent for longer terms (6 and 12 months) are making a temporary home and are respectful of other residents.  When issues arise it is usually with the very few who rent for short terms and don't really care who lives around them.  Luckily very few condo owners are willing to rent their units for less than 6 months at a time.

 

Just remember that you are responsible for any damage and nuisance caused by guests you bring into a building so try to be discerning with your guest selection,
