I had a visitor last evening who decided she'd like to stay longer than I initially planned and she needed feeding, so I thought it was an ideal opportunity to go for a looksee.

I was very impressed and my guest (plus her cousin) thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Many thanks for the excellent hospitality.......and yes they were impressed and want to come back - esp the cousin as she managed to pull whilst there.  :WinkGrin1:

Thoroughly recommended both for the food and the entertainment.

Thank you, I was a little shocked when seeing you out of your usual environment, but then I saw you had, again as usual, some stunning company. Not surprised the cousin pulled, at least not as much as when she arrived which gave me a chuckle.

An interesting and different idea for foreigners in Pattaya.  And a well described venue with excellent English and a very diplomatic presenter.  I have been in such places in Bangkok many years ago and enjoyed my time and had absolutely no problems.  Thanks to the OP for posting.  Well worth a visit I think.

Thats fair enough we will post some videos shortly. The establishment is similar to those entertainment places in Bangkok. It is not a Karaoke  nor are you as a foreigner at risk there, many foreign guys along with their Thai lady(s) enjoy a night out with live music and Thai prices. They have far less risk of running into aggressive characters in Samaran than many other areas of Pattaya.

Like everywhere, people can on occasion have a little too much alcohol, that does not put them at risk though. All the security staff are mature men with wives and families and all have undergone restraint training should they find themselves in such a situation. Normally a few quiet words are enough to cool any problems, though to date we have had none.

There is live music throughout the night from 7pm till 3am-ish  :Evil_Grin2:  except for a 15 minute changeover between bands every 2 hours. The food is excellent, the lass and me eat there most nights trying different dishes. It is mainly Thai dishes but as it's made to order you can specify how spicy or not you want it. Thais always tend to snack when drinking so the kitchen is open till 2am.

We are only in the 6th week but things are going well, our staffing structure is a little different to most places which seems to have a positive effect as they are always smiling and happy to take care of you whilst you are with us. One or two lads that visited us in the early days took staff smiles as indicating they were available for other services. That is not the case, they are not there to be groped.

You may see occasionally, in groups or alone, police officers visiting. Most times they will be wearing civilian clothes so you will not know them, although they also stop by in squad cars and uniform. There is never a need for concern they are invariably stopping by for some refreshment or in a party doing what you have come to do; Eat, drink enjoy the music and socialise.  They are good customers and never cause a problem.

My lass, myself or both of us are there most nights but not the whole night, we are both there till late on Fridays and Saturdays, so if you stop by make yourself known to us. Mrs Cerberus is the slim attractive but dangerous one and I am the friendly cuddly one  :Evil_Grin2:  Right now there is a promotion that any group of 4 or more arriving before 9.30pm get a free bottle of whiskey to enjoy in the club. If ordering food you will also receive a 10% discount card on all food items valid till the 1st January 2016.

Just came across this thread due to a link by Daddee in another thread. Like what I'm reading and will make it a point to stop in soon. Hope to see more of Na's posts. Makes for interesting reading to hear from her perspective the trials and tribulations of starting/learning a new business.

One suggestion, think this thread would have a wider audience if moved out of Introductions to the business owners section. Saw an earlier post requesting the move, but don't think admin saw the post. Perhaps a PM to Whitespider will get 'r done.

Good luck on the new business.

Hi, this is Na, I forgot my password 555,  to be honest it has been a roller coaster ride to date. Let me be clear my partner vets my posts and insists they are legible but they are my views. The challenge has been greater than I ever imagined. He warned me, however he also gave me the arrogance over these years to believe that everything and anything is possible with work, courage and discipline. Now I am not so sure though, I have been scared, angry and at times in despair.

The truth is that I felt I could do it over night, I did not know how little I knew. There have been times I wished to run away, there are still times I feel the challenge is to great for me. But every morning there is this 'force' that pushes me forward and at times I hate him,  I also begin to understand him a little more and if honest I am in awe and scared of him.

This is not an easy road, I am trying my best and I am trying to use all that I learned working within the Den, however it is so much harder than I ever imagined. The question is of course given 20/20 hindsight would I do it again? Truthfully, no!  Having said, that our food is excellent, our two bands; N-Doo and Samran are probably the best in town and the shows keep me laughing for hours. I know we will be successful...........I think  :Evil_Grin2:

Do not visit out of sympathy, but do come because I guarantee you and your company will have  a great time at a fair price and i will lock my beast out of your way.

Whats the story with the coming buddha days and selling alcohol.

Firstly are you open?

Second, can a group of us come and bring our own bottles?

We usually go to ninja BBQ up the road that somehow gets around the no alcohol rules

On the no drinking/music/entertainment days we will be closed. It allows us to give the staff an extra and well deserved break, in return we benefit from their re-charged attitude when opening again.

Her first concert is on the 19th of this month August 2015. Not sure how she swung this but the Thai national group, Marijuana, (in English) will performing at Samran on the night of the 19th, supported by both N-Doo and Samran Bands plus shows.

The number to call is on the Banner, it would be great to see some of you there.

I will ask tonight. I know a lot of the girls speak some. Our menu is in Thai and English with pictures. The lass speaks Thai, English and some Essan though a lot of the service girls speak more Essan than her.

I have a Cambodian visitor for a couple of weeks who loves the Thai food and music, but both of us struggle with the menus (even with pictures & English I'm afraid) so finding that service can speak Khmer is a complete game changer for her.

As I'm sure you'll know, most of the service at Bang Saray are Cambodian anyway, but at the Thai restaurant junction Pattaya Tai/Soi 1 it was funny when I asked if anyone spoke Khmer and it turned out there were 8-10 Cambodians there who suddenly wanted to serve us.

We have run into some service girls in GoGos from such as Surin who speak Khmer and although her English is good, she loves to hear her own language here sometimes.

Either way, she's here until 23rd so I'll book a table for 19th and maybe I'll think of someone with a TGF who wants to join us and we'll cope.

If we could get a group together even better, but meanwhile can you put me down for a table of 4 or should I call/SMS the number?

PS - Sorry I didn't get to bring the other girl back, but she got promoted to showgirl and her 1500 BF took her outside my budget.   :LOL2:

So her first concert; Just a fantastic night, and the bands played on, Marijuana scheduled for 2 hours were having a blast and just played on, and on. Thanks guys. Samran and N-Dooo band were there in full swing, not so much as support but perhaps competition.  :Evil_Grin2:

The place was alive with over 150 people dancing and singing along and we rocked it till the early hours seeing the music stop just after 4.30am. It was great seeing so many foreign guys there, I tried to get around to every table, (usually finding my lass had been there first  :Clap1: ), I trust that all those that wanted photo's with the band were pleased with their response. Those that gave me their emails I will get the pictures to you over the weekend. For those of you that missed it  :LMFAO:  you missed bringing your girl to  fantastic night  :Banghead2:

We took this gig on just 12 days notice and the workload in getting it organised and promoted has been crazy, we learned a lot though, so will be doing it again indeed even have the national group pencilled in already.

Personally a big thank you to everyone working and sharing the dream of Samran. I am aware that so many worked beyond our expectations. From band members, kitchen staff and front of house service. Big thank you to my sister-in-law Am and the rest of the family members involved for all her/their support.

Finally I have to mention the vanguard, my lass, wife and partner in all things. Good job girl, now, lets do it again.

This is a little look behind the scenes to show what goes on to bring you 3 live bands playing throughout 8 hours one of the the national band Marijuana, which with food and drink cost a mere 1,000 baht a head.

Kindly ignore the scene at 2 minutes 23 seconds, you can never trust your staff   :Evil_Grin2:

Was not able to get it to open automatically so unfortunately you will have to click the link for this Video. (Or go to the next post by Ru4Real who was able to 555. Thank you)
