If the authorities could get to these farangs first, then they would certainly be deported for failing the means test.

Get someone who is only on a British state pension which means they don't get their annual increases, if they come here with some savings, rent a cheap place, do not drink or smoke, it could be heaven for them for a few years, great company with other retirees, nice long walks along the beach etc, great weather (most of the time) then the lack of annual pension increases steps in.

I have pointed out that such a law would be illegal in the US. However, in the UK that is not the case. I agree that what the UK government is doing amounts to theft.

A guy I know who was a bar manager here for many years packed up  a month ago  because he said he could not afford to live here as his Old Age Penson had not been increased for  many years,

 

On top of this, his pension is probably paid in a currency that has declined against the baht.
