Can anyone recommend a Vietnamese restaurant in Pattaya or Jomtien?

Heading South at 3rd Rd, turn left to a small Soi, right after after Pattaya Klang.

A very small, but delicious one.

Green design, if I remember it correctly.

In Jomtien Complex there is a mediocre Viet and French place. Their bun bowls are OK. Their pho is not even close to the real thing. Same soi as the Pine restaurant on the corner front at Thappraya, go into the soi, right hand side.

I thought the one on the top floor of Central Festival was pretty good...but sadly it's closed. Any other places that are close by?

If you liked that, go to the place at Jomtien  Complex that I mentioned. That's where they moved to. Same owners. Similar menu from there with some French additions from the old French restaurant there.

The VT chain restaurant would do well in patts. No other Vietnamese competition. I went to the one in udon Thai. It was excellent.

Thanks for the suggestion....I'll try it when I'm there at the end of July. I agree with you that it was mediocre, but as you mentioned there are so few around. I'm really surprised that there aren't some great Vietnamese restaurants around given the proximity to Vietnam.

There is a small counter in the Central Food Hall in the basement of Central Festival that has Pho and spring rolls, but it's also just mediocre.

I think it's the same owner as well!

The restaurant version will be a little better based on the look of that stall food.

Not many resident Vietnamese people here or even tourists to demand better Vietnamese food. It's a shame.
