I was thinking about getting a gopro for fun for my next trip. Any suggestions on which one to get?

Sj4000. Look at comparisons on youtube. Sj is only 130 aud on ebay. I have the newer wifi.

Go for Gopro 4! It has 4k resolution. I have Gopro 3.

I have two of the latest GoPros and hate them.  The old versions were better.

 

I am changing over to the SJCAM4000 as mentioned by another poster.  It has a viewing screen on back; and takes better focussed videos (you can read about all the focus issues on GoPros all over the net). 

 

If you are shooting porn with the GoPro, be warned that HIDDEN low resolution video files are created on the memory card and are only deleted when you re-format the card.  In other words, if your computer isn't set to "SHOW ALL HIDDEN FILES", you will not see the hidden low res copies.

It's a fucking tiny camera that's for sure! Quite happy that I picked the silver since the screen on the back is a huge bonus.

I've brought it three times to pattaya, once to Phuket and pretty much every trip to any place I go in Aus or NZ.

 

Yep it fit well in my suitcase where it spends its time on these holidays.

I never use it. Even when I go for a surf or bike ride at home, I don't use it.

And the times during the first week of purchase when I did use it.

No one including myself watched the awesome HD video recordings either.

I have an Sj400 bought at tukcom and am happy with it for the price. If I find that I am making lots of videos, then I will look at upgrading. But it's a great first gopro clone camera

The sjcam4000 DOES NOT HAVE

... a ONE TOUCH setting to turn on and start recording like the GoPro.  To turn on the sjcam, you press power, wait for it to power up, then press record.

Unfortunately, I remembered something else after I made the last post and it was too late to edit ...

 

Be careful in Pattaya as there is a FAKE SJCam being sold.  For example, if you look at 2nd floor Royal Garden, you will see a kiosk selling SJCam fakes and "clones".   Tukcom might be the same way ...

The biggest things to notice ... fake doesn't have SJCAM on the front; and fake box has "SPORTS" cam on the front instead of SJCAM.

I don't even use my still camera or the cam on my phone very much.
