Testosterone replacement therapy

Anyone here in TRT ?

I'd be interested to hear your stories, how you discovered it, what you're using and how you're feeling now you're on it.

Also, if you're using gel, injectables or orals.

Thanks in advance

TRT can be a potentially dangerous thing especially if you are self diagnosing and medicating. Absolutely get the blood work done from a professional and check your test levels and let them prescribe a plan based on where you are at. Much better and safer than finding a pharmacy that will sell you sustanon and jabbing yourself in the ass twice a week

Agreed  .    The only jabbing in the ass twice a week that I want is from my LB friends  .

Wouldn't dream of self administration. How long have you been on bman?

My doctor had me on injectable testosterone for about four months.  Frankly, I didn't see much of a change .... except that my nuts shrunk down to the size of marbles.  i discontinued the injections and my balls seem to be reinflating.  I have gone back to my previous method of maintaning my testosterone levels:  good diet, exercise, vitamins.  I am not saying that testosterone replacement therapy is bad, I am just saying that I didn't see the benefits.

Have you had bloodwork since you came off? How is your natural test recovering ?

Next week will be the one month mark since I did my last injection and the doc wants to redo all blood work on my next appointment.  My testosterone levels were not alarmingly low before the round of injections so my hope is that I will bounce back nicely.  We will see.

Dont listen to advise given to you by people who have never tried testosterone, if your over 40 its worth considering after all who doesnt want to feel like they did when they were in there early 20s and thats what your bringing your testosterone levels up to on a TRT dose. The major benefits of bringing your test levels up are increase libedo, increase muscle tone and fat lose.

Of course the safest way to do that is through a endocrinologist who can monitor your bloods but it wont be cheap.

Doubt your doctor is an endocrinologist who specializes in hormone replacement otherwise he would have offered you HCG/Pregnyl which would have prevented your testicles from shrinking.

He is and he offered to prescribe Clomid.  My testosterone levels were not actually low enough to warrant the whole experiment and after a few months I just didn't see the ROI.  Working out five days a week makes me feel better than anything out of a bottle.

clomid is used to bring your testosterone levels back up after you stop injecting as your natural production would have stopped where HCG would have prevented your testicles from shrinking. Each to their own but taking 1ml of test every 10 days makes me feel on top of the world.

(I've posted this advice elsewhere on the web, copying myself)

52 here, alcohol has never been a problem, never too drunk to fuck.

In May last year I got on HRT - hormone replacement therapy - works wonders. In my case, testosterone pellets every 3 months. Also on HCG - Human chorionic gonadotropin - to keep the nuts running.

Major wood these days, better sleep, etc. Recommended.

If you live in Thailand, probably can work around a doc. In our semi-socialist state of affairs in the US, or the full-bore red hammer and sickle deal in Europe, you need a doctor and scrip of course.

Every three months, local anestesia, doc cuts a tiny slit by my buttocks, kind of below the hip bone, inserts 10 testosterone pellets, and tapes that up, not even stitches.

This keeps me juiced to a 20-25-year olds levels for roughly 3 months. Not body builder approach with massive test levels, just get back what was lost. Mejor diferencia Senor Chihuahua Pete... Didn't realize that the massive morning boners of my 20s were that much stronger - I still had morning wood before treatment, but not like THIS!!! Should give some TGs and LBs a morning surprise...

Seems like more cum as well - certainly a lot more "pre-cum" which I never noticed before - so the engine is firing more strongly for sure.

Deeper sleep, zero waking up at 2AM, that's gone.

Better muscle tone too - hansum man coming back!

Will be interesting to check next time in Patts how my reload time has changed - before it was at least a 2 hour affair to get primed up again. I'd get hard sooner, but fuck me if I could cum again. Hoping that'll change too.

The HCG - human chorionic gonadotropin - makes sure the balls don't shut down, shrink etc. I inject the HCG myself with tiny insulin syringes, can't even feel them. Sideffect there is supposedly body fat loss - which I can also live with. :-)

All done under endocrinological supervision, a couple blood tests per year to check where test levels are.

It's not inexpensive, a couple grand (USD) per year all in. Only some is covered - if I had been female, the same thing would be fully covered (I think). Women take estrogen instead of course. And for women, the HCG is supposed to be a really powerful weight loss driver.

Combined with a change to a paleo diet - and a personal trainer at the gym - I have literally transformed myself. I turned 52 couple months ago, had some friends and their friends over - got asked about my age by the wife of one, answered "39" and then "again" as usual. :-) So she asked again, and I said "add 13" and then she was visibly surprised. Good for the ol' ego that.

Ego boosts aside, it feels physically great - go for it!

My approach is to fix it from the inside - the testosterone, the nutrition, the exercise.

The implanted pellets address the inconvenience with the alternative (older) model: injections - and refrigeration - and issues with travelling - esp across borders.

The HCG should be easier to get - standard practice with female HRT too - and females take estrogen orally (I think) whereas men can't do that (testosterone must be applied via the dermis - injections or lotion, and lotions are an unreliable mess, esp in hot countries.) There's oral HCG too I think, getting some for my next trip to LOS (to avoid syringes and refrigeration).

The pellets and the oral HCG should do the trick.

Whatever you do, start on a paleo diet ASAP. The pounds will just fall off - amazing. I lost 35 pounds on that diet alone, in a few months, and that was before I started HRT.

Indeed, but it really starts with food intake. Especially empty carbs. These drive up glycemic load which in turn and eventually shut down testosterone, which makes it even worse.

You need to break that cycle first, switch to quality protein and quality veggies. Eliminate all sources of refined carbs. Red wine still ok. The pounds will just fall off.

As you get back to your "should" weight, ie what you weighed in your fittest 20s, only then do you get serious about weights. Not realistic to both switch body off the sugar cycle and build muscle. You'll do more damage than good, and certainly prolong the effort. This is for those who have 30-50 lbs or more to lose.

Follow my advice and you'll drop 10lb per month. Without losing muscle, without ill effects. Your back, knees, ancles etc will feel so much better too.

Think like a VC - fail quickly, try often

I am over 60 and have no experience of this. I know everyone is different but find it alarming that a 40 something

would be considering this. Like a lot of things I suspect that long term dependency could be the result.

If you are still in your forties you are better off waiting till you hit your early sixties before you start on any course of tasteterone injections .Diet and exercise can do the job just as good without the nasty side effects that one may or may not experience after prolonged use .You need to weigh up the pro and cons .What works wonderfully for some may not necessarily do for others

if you are still in your forties you're better off getting T levels tested to know exactly what is going on inside.  To make the blanket statement that either waiting till you are 60 (wtf??) or diet and exercise can somehow overcome a hormone level deficiency is really bad advice.  Yes diet and exersize will help if you have a normal functioning system that is low due to diet or lack of exercise.  The only way to know if you have a T problem is to get a blood draw and run the tests.   Living with low T is the shits, you get fat, lazy, non motivated and turn into a big pile of mushy shit.  No way to live. I know of men in their 20's with T levels under 200.

late 50's, 3 yrs on TRT, 1cc/wk injected, not much in the way of sides/gyno but .25mg aram EOD just to keep E levels in sync, levels tested in the 900-1100's recently.

+1 to the above - they guy claiming a certain age cutoff doesn't know his brown stuff from Shinola.  Get tested and find out.

I forgot to mention that I'm also on Arimidex - to block the estrogen conversion cycle.

Note that being fat retards test production which in turn makes you fatter and cuts test further and so on.... i.e. stop eating carbs!!!
