Hey guys . Has anyone stayed at the natural beach hotel, second road, recently, and can give a good honest opinion on what its like, cheers guys. :hello09:

The only Natural beach hotel I know in Pattaya is on beach road. Bog standard Pattaya oldie with decent pool in my opinion.

Thanx for response, yes that's the one beach road, I was looking at it from second road view from another hotel,

My advice is to look at tripadvisor for their reviews.  Currently there are 31 reviews posted for this hotel, and the reviews are all over the map.  Some love it, but just as many people hate it.  The general consensus is that it's location is fantastic on Beach Road, but the property itself is rundown.

Good reading.....

Thanks for response..... I read all that and more from other sources and decided that it would be better hearing it from someoneone who had stayed there recently who is a member of this community. once again thanks for taking time to post.

If interested in Natural Beach hotel, I suggest checking out the building behind it instead, called Baan Sila. Same ownership, so offers the same pool area.

I saw the rooms at Natural Beach, and thought the Baan Sila rooms were a bit nicer, and were even a bit cheaper. Not at all luxurious, and the bathrooms especially seemed quite basic and a bit worn, but rooms were spacious and clean, had a larger than usual refrigerator (though of an 'unfortunate' turquoise color), flat screen tv (which I never turned on so don't know about the channel selection), a kettle, and there was a balcony with table and chairs and a sink, which I found handy for rinsing out and drying clothes.

They book separately from Natural Beach so search accordingly at Agoda etc. Also, reviews at trip advisor are under Baan Sila.

I stayed for the month of February and had no problems. I had three different rooms during my month there, and a friend stayed in a fourth, and strangely, the pictures I have seen on some booking sites as well as trip advisor don't really match the configuration of any of the rooms I saw. For example, one has the furniture from the balcony crammed into the room awkwardly at the side of the bed, while another has a bathtub; none of the rooms I saw had either of these, and I wonder if they are using pictures from the Natural Beach hotel building on the Baan Sila page.

The staff at Baan Sila was cheerful and helpful, which wasn't the case at Natural Beach hotel . Security was very good (ID check, phone call upon guest departure).

The negatives for this place are that there is no lift, and also the rooms get bright in the a.m. (no blackout curtains). One side of the building was worse for this, causing me to change rooms. Other than the pool, I don't think there were any other amenities to speak of.

Prices can change drastically during different times of the year in Patts, but at the time of the year I was there this hotel was quite a bit cheaper than neighboring properties and represented good value for money.

Thanks for taking time to post tps. much appreciated...

My bro stays at Natural Beach and loves it. He still screws them for 1000B a night. Rooms are quite standard size and have balconies overlooking the pool towards beach road. Beach Road noise is shielded by the front building.

Not my preferred locale but he loves it.

I prefer Residence Garden. Large 1 bedroom apartments for 1500b a night if you book via pattayatalk website.

Mr Macs next door to RG is only 1000B and with recently renovated bathrooms is excellent value also.

Lots of great hotels for good prices in Pattaya.

A hidden gem is Honey Lodge. Fully renovated, nice pool, right on Walking Street. A great spot for a fifirst timer or relative new starter.

I stayed here in January 2015 for a few days. Took it due to Beach Road proximity and Walking Street distance. All in all I felt fine. Pool I didn't use, bed was comfy, only problem being the A/C pointed directly at the bed. Room had a safe in the closet. One further negative aspect: bathroom was a bit small and had these shitty doors which did not block the sound. Thus if you fancy taking a decent crap, send the BG home first lol.

The Baan Sila building of this property (sits behind natural beach hotel with the pool in between) looks to be moving up in price as they've rehabbed the first floor rooms and raised those prices to 1400 . As yet to be improved rooms walk in price currently 1000 for floor two, 950 for floors three and four.

I really liked this place - especially the staff, which seems unusually stable for Patts . And, the balcony sink was great for rinsing off gym clothes. But, I find the beds a bit on the hard side, and the lack of blackout curtains didn't help the sleep experience. I don't think they changed any of this during the rehab, so with the coming higher pricing I would look elsewhere.

Very recently I was in Pattaya for just one night, so I again stayed at Baan Sila. The same staff is there, which is a plus as they are very friendly. But, the supposed rehab seems to have just been to remove the sinks that were on the balcony, change the bigger refrigerators to the typical mini-fridges, and the showers have been changed to those plastic box things where (I guess) you turn one of the knobs or something to make the water warmer. However, that box was postioned very high and I never could make the shower warm enough.

So, it appears that the 'rehab' was simply an effort by the owner to save on water bills and electricity. Understandable I guess, but for me the changes are a big negative; the sink especially was handy for rinsing off gym clothes etc. Anyway, rooms are the same, big, hard-ish bed, and the same curtains that let too much light in. Not a bad deal at the price (1000 for fourth floor) but certainly less desirable than before. I don't think I will stay again.

Hi, I booked the Natural Beach hotel / Baan Sila and have a confirmation number through Agoda. I always try to confirm directly through the hotel; however, Natural Beach is not answering any emails. I attempted to call twice and no one answered the phone. I'm getting the contact info from their site.

What's the latest scoop on this hotel? I'm hoping they're still in business, but getting worried that my non-refundable reservation is in the wind. Does anyone have the latest contact information?

Should be no problem, and no need to bother confirming. As of this past March, they were still in business, which I assume is still the case. Just print the Agoda receipt to present at check in.

by the way, if your reservation is with Natural Beach, the entrance for check in is right on Beach Road. If it is for Baan Sila, then that entrance is just a one or two minute walk up the small soi running along the side of the building.

Thanks for the response tps! I finally got through on the phone on Saturday, but there was big language gap. The best I could do was repeat their email address over and over. That seemed to do the trick, they finally responded to my email.  :) Appreciate the tip on Baan Sila entrance too.
