Booking now for September

I've been looking at booking my accomodation now for a trip in Septmeber at the Hilton and Marriott

 

Does anyone know if it's best to take the early price or wait and they normally have some sort of promotion.

Book on a site that has free cancellation by X date.  If rates change cancel that and book a new booking.

 

Can't really get why one would want to book Hilton/Marriott in Pattaya unless you have a zillion points or the company is paying. But each to their own I guess. I prefer to be staying in amongst it and save money for spending on the main objective.

Good shout - although the best rates all seem to be no cancellation.

 

It'll be my first break in 6 months and I'd rather stay somewhere nice than a shit hole - saved money on flights due to BA sale so thought I'd treat myself

How much of a difference is there between the refundable rates and the ones with no cancellation?

Didn't think about membership points - managed to get a good deal for the Hilton through American Express. Not any good for Marriott though

 

Difference on the booking refundable/no cancellation is about 1000 Bht a night with Marriott - will keep looking for next few days and see if anything changes

its going to cost you 1000 baht a night to take back ladies is my understanding. you might get away with it if you book he room for 2.

Interesting view that all the hotels below the 5 star ones are shitholes.
