If money was no object, where would you recommend staying for a 2 week trip in November? I want the class and luxury; but I would also want the hotel to be girl friendly and close to the action. I've read the reviews for most of the hotels listed and some seem very nice; but I want opinions (I'm sure they will vary) as to the "absolute best for a mongering trip". Thanks for your help

The Marriot springs to mind but recent reviewers have complained about being very girl unfriendly nowadays. I don't know of any other upscale hotels close to the action. Besides, most luxury hotels have a tendency to be not girl friendly.

Yeah, I probably should have asked for the "absolute best that money can buy that IS girl friendly".

Hi CP,

Take a look at http://www.lkpattayahotel.com/ and the LK Metropole.

Then, maybe -

Rock Hard - http://www.hardrockhotels.net/pattaya/

Marriot, Dusit,

Try http://www.latestays.com/ for an idea of prices and facilities.

The Hard Rock has a great location and pool/gym etc. Need to phone and ask regarding guest friendly as there are conflicting reports.

As always - different strokes ...

If I had money no object - I still wouldn't know what one to pick!! :D

Cheers,

C.

Thanks a lot. Late Stays was a good quick reference; but I doubt those hotels get that listed price very often.

Cheers,

Dudebrah-

You indicated it was girl friendly. Do they have any special dress code and do you know what the "fees" are?

LK Metropole - No problems. No dress code and you just walk in with your girl.

Tim Boutique hotel on 2nd Road behind Tims Beer Bar. I think th erooms start at 3250 a night, so out of my league, but I did chat with one BM who raved over the place.

I'm currently staying in the Marriott & i would recommend it under the "if money no object" title.

This is my 3rd stay this year at the Marriott & i have never has a problem bringing BG's back here (or having them hang out at the pool next day)....

Last night when i returned to the Marriott with my BG in tow (around 2am), she bold up to the reception desk & tried to give her ID card to the receptionist, the receptionist turned to me and said "sir, you want me to have her ID card? up to you?" another priceless pattaya moment..

There's no hassle with BG's in any of the Marriott i have used (Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Manila), they are very guest friendly considering it's a 5 star hotel.
