Music they play in the bars... ?

Recommended Posts

During my all-to-short time in Pattaya, I heard a lot of great music.. and found a lot of the bars all over town played the same music.  I would love to be able to hear some of it again...

For instance, you couldn't help hear this song all over town

or this one was popular too...

The music dvd I bought with these songs and so many more songs on them was destroyed in transit..  Can anyone link to other music that they're playing now?  It'd be much appreciated.. :)

Always happy to help a fellow monger :)  Stay safe & healthy gentlemen!!!  :hello09:

Thanks for the reply Casinoclub..  The first one you posted they played pretty commonly, and indeed the girls went bananas went they covered at the Issan club a few times.

Do you know any other, more Thai ones?  Or just similar rockin' tunes... Number One is pretty hoppin', and goodness knows Miss Lee is 10 kinds of beautiful...

Nothing is more important in my opinion that is, that girls enjoy the music being played in the bars. It makes them smile and want to shake their asses. AC/DC can kill any girls mood but in saying that..

you kids and you pop music and disco lights with be the death of me.

I'll stick with Caraboa

Thailand's bob Dylan.

I did not know her name, I did not know her name but I sure did love the way she laughed and called me honey.

Some of us senior citizens have different tastes. The best music program for me was in a beer bar in Naklua. The owner had made a mix with every Top 10 hit from the 50's and 60's. The volume was kept at a level that you could still talk and no Thai TV allowed when there were no customers so it was consistent. He was strict with his rules, but once the girls got used to it he seemed to be a pretty good boss.

Are you talking western songs from the 50's?

No, the regular Billboard hits although some of them might be considered country/western

Ok here's one... This is a song I recognize them playing at the Issan club, with everyone going ape shit.

What's the song playing in the first 45 seconds in this video?  It's got a great beat, and I know I heard it a few times in Patts..

Damn I wish I was back :D

These are all great, and indeed I heard many / all of these... most I found once I was back stateside via Facebook's related videos option.  Good music!

Here's a couple you might have come across

Casinoclub, you also posted a number of good / popular ones...

I like how both of you posted that one with Miss Lee.  So beautiful...

Perhaps between the two of you, you can help me figure out what song is in that one video?  The only words I can positively discern are "Issan" and "Falang," which as you imagine makes trying to locate the song virtually impossible, as half the popular thai songs have those words (such a common word, falang...)

It's the song that starts at the beginning of the video while he's driving down the 6, but peaks at about 0:35...

Any ideas, gentlemen ?

THIS was the freaking song I've been looking for!

Apparently the name is "Big, long" ???

Does anyone have any clue as to wtf this song is saying?  It (not surprisingly) seems dirty...

It's Issan Lao - also seems to be popular across the Mekong in Laos itself. My Lao is pretty basic and it's not easy for me to follow, but more or less she says she's been waiting for a "faen" ever since she was a kid. She hopes this time she has found him. (Or something to that effect anyway.)

So what's up with the 'slurp' ? :D

Apart from Sweethearts, the music they play in just about all the gogo's is repetitive, monontonous crap......in my humble opinion.

Fortunately, that isn't the reason I go into em.

This is true , although other exceptions to the crap are Tims , Far East , Kiss and Sexygirls
