Just did a search on your link, thanks for it and the info

 

Typical costs LHR via SIN to BKK and return at the moment £1694 ish.but premium economy doesn't start until August this year so I searched out in September and back towards the end of January, the latter to take out the Xmas & NY price hikes

 

Economy runs around £793.

 

I searched for only the flights with the shortest layovers in SIN both out and back.

 

Very good airline though and if they were direct not via SIN probably well worth it IMO.

That is expensive! You can fly Business with Qatar for not much more and direct with EVA for under £2000 in Business most dates.

 

I guess when Singapore are charging over £2500 for Business then the Premium fits into their pricing structure.

 

As you say, they have a very good reputation. I usually booked them for my parents when they went to see my Sister in Oz (in Economy) and they were always happy with them.

I've flown with them several times in the past but not to LOS and they are a very good airline but never near to being the cheapest.

 

Personally for flights of less than 2 or 3 hours I don't really care that much about quality, more about cost.

 

Longer though, well I just have to be comfortable but also at a price I can live with.

 

My attitude to flying is that basically its a flying bus, a mere method of temporary transportation to take me from A to B as quickly as possible.

 

I think you could well become the PA expert for flights as I've seen you post interesting and factual stuff.on them

Circumstances allow me plenty of time to check out different ways of getting to TLOS and places to stay there - and this forum of course!

 

I've now reached the stage where I really have to fly in Business Class even though it cuts down on the number of trips I can make. I also use taxis to/from the airport - wouldn't consider using bus - and plan on using BFS and the cart.

 

Too many bad travel experiences so do everything to ease things.

 

Still won't pay more than 1500 for a hotel in Pattaya though!

They are more expensive for a reason, they have a better product. Just flew with them to bkk and back always outstanding. Makes me laugh every time some bogan buys a budget airline ticket and bitches and moans they dont get the experience of a full service carrier

I have flown with them a couple of times MLB-SNG-BKK return, IMHO they are no better than Thai or Malaysian Airlines and always seem to be more expensive!  But will keep an eye out for their new premium economy seats.
