Be useful to know as Pattaya Central Road (Pattaya Klang) must be 6 ot 7 km long stretching all the way from Sukhumvit to the Beach.

Actually my 7k is probably OTT just seems to take an age to drive it. I would be pretty sure its far more than 2k though. You certainly would not want to walk it.

Well I never I just measure it and you are quite correct 2km almost exactly - my apologies.

Its a very busy road and takes a fair time to drive it. Motorbikes would be faster than cars but Baht Buses probably take an age.

No not rough, not particularly dangerous traffic apart from the fact there is a lot of it. From Big C to Beach Road you have three fairly major sets of traffic lights to get through whcih can add quite a but to travel time - hence my feeling it was much longer.

Just opposite Big C there used to be a Guesthouse called Shagwell Mansions. It was always quite popular but I dont know if its still there. Google might help you.

Both August and April Suites on Central Pattaya Rd are ideal (at Second Rd end of Central Pattaya Rd aka Pattaya Klang) I have stayed at August Suites a number of times and is joiner friendly of course and also has a gym, Big C only a short distance from these hotels

Would be a good choice IMO

What guesthouses have you looked at?  How much a night do you want to spend?  How often are you going to train?  Give us a bit more info and we can hook you up with a good place to stay!

Will be training twice at day at the gym and running/weights in early morning. Looking at 10 nights so got a budget of 1200baht. I've looked at high five guest house, maple mansion, bri&enjoy apartment and recently English rose. I'm not fussed on anything fancy, just a clean room with shower toilet, I'm a heavy sleeper so noise doesn't bother me much I just the TV volume up haha

Ive never been Thailand let alone pattaya so I've got no idea how hard or easy it is to get from point a to b, just heard a lot of horror storys about people scammed into floating markets and temples instead of where you actually want to go so I'm thinking walking might be my best bet as I'm going on my own

Yeah max of 1200 per night, honestly the less I spend on a hotel the more spending money I have to play with while I'm out and about.

After a bit of reading central pattaya road isn't looking like a great option, people saying it's not a good spot so I'm open to where ever really but just don't want to be too far from the gym.
