Anyone no the name of the new hotel across from Secrets.

It is called W14.

I have the card it is referred to as Grand hotel oddly.  Had a look at the rooms. Quite nice. No lift though.  I think that Honey Lodge next up on Pattaya Tai is better value, renovated rooms plus a neat little pool.

I've just stayed there for 2 weeks , it's just been built , and is owned by the same people that own the Grsnd hotel next door.

Very small hotel , I think it's only about 20 something rooms , it has no lift , but has a very small pool on the top floor.

Two types of rooms one costs 1950 , the other is 1650 , the only difference is the size of the room , everything else is identical , I went for the smaller room , as I didn't see any value in the extra cost just for a bigger room.

Good points are , zero noise from WS , the staff are friendly , unlike its sister hotel next door, and the beds are very comfotable ... not like the rock hard beds nearly every other hotel.

I would recommend it for the price they charge , but if you want to spend a bit less ,  the Honey Lodge , previously mentioned by LRanger for 1000 baht per night , you can't get any better value for money in Pattaya.

Secrets bar/hotel is dead opposite and is around the 1000 bht mark.

there is a coffee bar in the lobby with a small outside terrace area but since it opened about the end of jan i've never seen anyone using it.

main problem being there is nothing much to look at in soi 14 apart from Secrets staff opposite sitting outside on their breaks slurping noodles

Don't bother with the coffee , they have the fancy new coffee machine , but they don't know how to make it.
