Question about getting to my hotel from airport

Recommended Posts

Hi Room,

I'm planning to go to Pattaya next month, first time and by myself.

I will stay at Pattaya Page 10 hotel and would like to know how should I get there from Suvarnabhumi International Airport. I'm planning to take the Airport Express bus to Pattay because taxi is too expensive for me by myself. Can anyone tell me which station I should get off and can I walk to Page 10 hotel or need to take another transportation?

And I also like to know how can I go back to Bangkok from Pattay. I will stay at VIC 3 hotel in Bangkok, any suggestion?

Please advise.

Many Thanks!!!

I am a bit puzzled. Page 10 starts on Agoda at 3000 baht per night.

Then you say a taxi would be too expensive? Somewhere between 1000 and 1300 bt, depending on quality and service.

If you can afford 3000+ for many nights, in a town where you can get an acceptable room for 1000, and a nice one for 2000, why worry about a taxi fare?

if you're arriving during the day you can take the bus.  I think the last one is at 10pm, maybe it's 11pm, but my flights always arrive after 11pm so I get a car/driver.

if you're arriving late evening, you'll need to book a car and driver for 1000 baht...

Bell Bus is what you need..

Make sure you take the Bell Bus and not the other one (they share the same desk).Because the other one will not drop you off at your hotel.

Also interested in your answer to the query from Ikkrang.

Just asking what time you arrive? Think the last Bells bus goes at 8pm they are the best option at 250 baht and that gets you to Page 10. The other bus runs to 10 pm I think but is about 136 baht and you may pay 50 baht once the bus stops at Pattaya for a baht bus to drop you at the hotel. There's usually a baht bus at the last stop who just gathers up passengers and does the rounds dropping them off where ever.

Page 10 was 1800 baht per night when I last stayed there that was booking direct with the hotel. Hopefully that's what you paid.

If this is your first time to Pattaya I would recommend booking a taxi with one of the female drivers that are often talked about on this forum.

Use bell buses, you'll find them the ground floor, (in Thailand it will be level one, (the ground floor is level one) it's Thailand's way of doing things). Anyway, use bell buses, they have bus service that takes you to your hotel, I'll explain, 'the coach/bus will take you Pattaya bus station and then from there you'll be assigned to a mini bus which will take you to your hotel'. I think it's about 250THB, maybe just under 60.00HKD, (I think) but definitely about 250THB.

If you want to spend a bit more, or a lot more, depending on your budget, you can try my favorite Taxi girl Nam.  She charges 1200 baht but it will be a stress free experience without having to look around and wonder if you are going to the right place.

Nam's Taxi Lady Driver on FB or [email protected]

PS you can look at either of my TR's for more info about Nam...

Hello Mate

First time arrivals are always the hardest. It may be an idea to tell the forum what day you are arriving in February. Who knows you may be lucky, somebody else may be arriving on the same day. You may be able to share a taxi.

I have to agree with Ilkrang, a 1000 baht taxi too expensive after choosing a £60 a night hotel?

I'm booked into LK 19th Avenue mid Feb, less than 500baht a night but still booked Mr T @ 1000 baht

"Because the other one will not drop you off at your hotel."

The "other one" travels along Sukhumvit road and stops inJomtien terminus. It will stop at Pattaya North, Central and South roads where you need to either get a motorbike taxi or a baht bus to Page 10, not a good idea for a first timer.

Either get the Bell bus or take a Mr T taxi for your first visit.

Was gonna tell you about the Bell Bus, but decided not to, for 2 reasons:

1) It's been mentioned many times.

2) You obviously don't give a fuck as you've not thanked anyone for taking the time to help you.

Other than that, enjoy yer trip...

That's who I used for my first trip. From BKK city center to Pattaya. Driver was a pleasant lad, had a great laugh on the road. Even stopped at the big services and he bought me a bottle of water!!! Was a great introduction to Thailand.

First trip back to Pattaya since November 2019....

August 19th - 31st 2024
