Yes - Someone told me the expression "drink like a fish" was originally "drink like a Finn" I have never had any problems with Finnish customers in fact have been great for business. CHILLOUT used to be CASA DE LOBOS owned by a Finn but had to go home and was ripped off by his Thai Manager. Anyone who likes a drink is welcome even the guys who sit on a bottle of water to use the free WIFI but after 15 minutes there is always a problem with the WIFI dont know why :-)

Interference from the tazer?

No off switch on the WIfi. Had a guy come in for his water and WiFi then for the next 5 days he stood outside the bar dodging motorbikes using the WiFi - too lousy to buy even water. Each time I waited until he was right into something then cut the WiFi. Funny watching him going up and down the Soi looking for a signal. Probably doing it to all the bar owners. Dont people realise that the bar has to pay for the WiFi. CHILL OUT has just upgraded to fast fibre optic but costing us double in fees and we give it away. Bloody good guys :-)

Yes but most with boyfriends at the moment. More girls at Porn massage 50 metres up the Soi but they dont like working bar just like to get straight into it.

I didnt even know where Finland was before Thailand other than in the cold north. Something makes them love a drink and drinking a lot can lead to repenting as a Christian. Beware of over indulging. A couple of Aussie customers yesterday came in today holding their heads and repeating  Oh God,Oh God.

I had a good long walk around the Buakaow area last night and was surprised as to how busy the bars still are.

 Only two bars had ZERO customers, this place and The Rockhouse.

As I once used to say many years ago when I worked behind the bar instead of propping it up - "Time Now Gentlemen, Please!!".

 

I normally apply a delicate touch to Modding a thread but in this instance I've used brute force and an axe.  It may mean that some comments that remain will seem a little out of place, but so be it.  All insults to the lady proprietor have been removed, such things are not permitted even in "jest".  Likewise all provocative posts and anything that even hints of violence.

 

What should remain is now the Topic about the bar in the Business Owners section.  Discussion will be limited to promotion of the bar and any genuine enquiries, and I'll stress that this applies to everyone.

 

Keep it clean please lads.

If you're caught up in a clean-up taylor, things are going to vanish for many reasons if there's any link at all to the problems in the thread.  Just the way it is.

The OP hasn't got anything to do with Modding the thread aside from asking for things to be brought under control, and the Topic about the Pattaya One article is a completely different issue.  This is the OP's thread about his business in the Business Owners section, not a general comment thread in Barstool Banter.   Pattaya One is a news network, not a Forum, even so I'm dead certain they wouldn't publicise some of the comments that were made in this thread.

 

 

Honestly, I despair sometimes.  I thought I was pretty clear in my earlier Post what had been done, why it had been done, and that a line had been drawn.  The Topic was cleaned up under Rule 3 which is aimed at keeping the Forum user-friendly, and always a good thing to keep in mind as things tend to get out of hand very easily.  Whilst you're having a read you might want to check Rule 17 too................

Really I believe “censored” would be a more appropriate term, I am disappointed as my content has been removed and I did not regard it as negative just not flattering to the bar owners behaviour on the thread rather than the actual event.

Anyone just starting to read this now would get a very bias view imho.

Docker, there's a whole separate thread on the Forum discussing the 'incident' that caused a massive punch-up in this thread.  

 

The point folks are missing is that this is not a discussion section of the Forum, it's a business promotion section and the Owner is fully entitled to ask for the thread to be cleaned up, which is exactly what happened.  A lot of what may have been fairly innocuous posts had to be removed as they were part of the chain reaction.  You guys are also not privy to some other actions that were undertaken by the Mod team behind the scenes as they do not relate to yourselves.

 

The whole point of having unpaid voluntary Moderators giving up their free time is to keep the Forum friendly and running within the Rules.  It's one of the attractions of PA, it's mostly kept flame-free.  It's also not a pleasant job to do, as whilst complaints are common the thanks are few.  Everyone likes to see a Mod around when they have a problem that needs sorting out though.......

 

This thread got way out of hand, there was a huge amount of deliberate baiting being posted by certain BM's, threats started to fly, and it was down to the point where things were just plain nasty.

 

I have no problem if folks want to have a reasonable rational discussion about the incident in the relevant Topic, and neither do any of the other Mods.
