Walk in hotels in Koh Larn

I am going to Koh Larn in a couple of weeks. From what I've heard it has changed a lot since my last visit. I have a friend coming down from Bangkok and she has suggested staying for at least one night there but because she is so unreliable, I won't book a room in advance. So how easy is it to walk in and book a room in Koh Larn?

I think it will be no problem at all. The amount of apartments and hotels has increased with the decrease of tourists will almost certainly not full. I would choose the time except for weekends, when they can be partially met by the Thais from BKG.
I have no personal experience with an overnight stay, but maybe 200 or more one day trips to the island and some friends and I often see how the infrastructure of the island is changing right before our eyes.
The forums have already several threads about  accommodation on the island.
