Central Pattaya hotel mid Jan - Book now or later?

As reported a couple of months ago, it does appear that some of the more popular Pattaya hotels are booked up for January. I've just managed to book my first 6 nights at the April Suites via Agoda (using the forum link of course!) - but then they were booked up after that.  It was about 1500 baht per night, I've stayed there before and quite liked it. I am still debating whether to stay in Pattaya, or head somewhere else (e.g. Krabi, Koh Chang) for a few days and then come back to Pattaya.

 

I am wondering whether I should sort the hotel(s) for the rest of my trip when I arrive (12th January onwards) or get it all booked now.  I would like a hotel in the 1,000-1,500 baht range, preferably reasonably quiet and with an in room safe and a pool. Thinking in Central Pattaya somewhere.  But I'm not massively fussy, and would probably be happy with a less fancy cheaper room or spending a bit more if I had to.

There will be rooms, but you will be subject to the price point available. The cheapest places will be booked.

 

It sounds like you are flexible and considering getting out of Patts for a period. You've got a room to start the trip which is good. I would wait and see how your trip goes.  You will find a room.

 

It is also possible April Suites will have a cancellation and you could stay longer then planned.

 

Additionally, you can get day passes to area pools.  If you need to book a non pool hotel, you still have that option.
