China Garden Update?

JohnIrish

Recommended Posts

I will be arriving in Pattaya this spring and the China Garden seems to meet my needs... Clean, good shower, balcony, side entrance. At least that is what the last reviews seem to say but they are over a year old.

Any comments on this place? I would try to book a jacuzzi room . On my last trip I stayed at Metro Apts and enjoyed it there but thought I would try a different place.

Thanks!

China Gardens very good, stayed there 2 years ago. You might also consider (on the same soi) La Cerise...a very classy guesthouse.

I look now on his website and looks good, price is also cheap, around 700 baht per night, anyone who know how many minutes walk from this hotel to walking street?thanks in advance.

Too far to walk to WS so take baht bus or mototaxi for about 50 baht. However, LK Metro is just a 5 min walk from China Garden along with Soi Honey and Soi Poon...Soi Lengkee is a great location and actually pretty quiet in the evenings

There are cheaper places offering monthly rates like Canterbury Tales, the rooms are very nice and a great option for a longer stay!  I would say ours a little better but your paying more so they should be...ideal for 2-3 weeks stays, we are 700 Baht per night in low season, 900 in high season.

it is 100 meters from soi buckow, jump on a baht bus and get off at the corner off second road, before it goes left towards jomtien. 10 minutes

I stayed there last year in February after reading posts here. Rooms are quite nice, price good and shower as described good.  I had to change my dates at teh last minute and they worked with me. Told me they could accomodate me if i was will to move rooms one night. It all worked out well --thwey gave me a room 2 doors down from my original. Did not use the restaurant. Entrance is to the side but all in all good place for good value. Friendly staff.

No he has replied honestly. Rare in Pattaya !!!!!.

If you are looking for a more budget accom then he has advised you of it.

Believe me he is not scraping for custom  and is a genuine, hones,t nice, guy if your budget will not fit then so be it very, nice of him to offer an alternative  most if not all who rent accommodation would not ( I would  !!!).

His is one of the best accommodation deals in central pattaya.

I have recommended this to many who have considered  booking with me however have decided to be in the centre of town and in a guest house.

None have come back to me with a bad word and many have thanked me.

I took the Baht bus one morning down soi Buakhao to where the bus stopped. Driver told me it was the end of the line. That is essentially across from the Tukcom Mall at South Pattaya road. I did a little shopping for some computer parts than it was a 5 min walk to Walking Street. Being it was in the morning there was really nothinhg open but I got a good lay of the land before it was crazy busy in the evening.

I also walked down to Walking Street from China Garden. It is about a 1.8 Km walk or so based on how you go.

I kept getting side tracked at varioius places-- Go Figure !!!

Essentially behind China Garden on Chaloem Phrakiat, across from  Cantebury Tales is Barbies and Triangle Bar.

Both I think are open 24 hours, Barbies has 2 for 1 drinks from 8 to 11. Not a bad breakfast --with 2 screwdrivers or blodymary's to start the day/

Hi Ian,

I'm trying to book 4 rooms for May and I've emailed a couple of days ago for no response. Is that still the correct email address? I've stayed with you guys before.
