Any recommended hotels in that vicinity? Walking distance to Nana Plaza and decently cheap yet not entirely sleazy either? Thanks guys.

Have stayed at Phachara Suites and Adelphi Suites many times. Top notch large rooms and good breakfasts.

My first choice is usually Petals Inn, quite a new hotel, around 1,400 - 1,500 baht per night through Agoda. Staff are really nice, clean hotel, short walk down to Nana Plaza.

My second choice is a hotel next door Heaven@Four which is usually about 100 baht more expensive per night. The junior suite does not have a window so I would avoid that type of room.

There's the Dawin over the road but the prices have gone up there in the past few years and it's about 2000 baht per night, they do have a small pool but the rooms are starting to look a bit jaded when I stayed there last year.

Petals Inn is nearer to Soi cowboy rather than nana is it not? I'm looking at the map trying to recall the last time I was there...

Anyway thansk for the suggestions guys.

Heaps whats your budget?

Anything less than 2000baht a night would be good. But if something really nice for a low 1000baht would be great!

certainly Majestic suites is a big deal for you... 1350/1450 with nice hygiene and Breakie... no joiner fee.... 3 minutes to BTS and 1 minute to NEP...very highly recommended... have stayed there at least 10 times... never had any complains...they dont have their own gym or pool but u can use those at their sister hotel Majestic Grande...4 minutes walk...

Petals Inn is in Soi 4 - same Soi as Nana Plaza.  I've stayed there in the last week an I recommend it highly.

For a budget of under 2000 definitely majestic suites like everyone says, if you book on Agoda skip the room with breakfast included its actually cheaper to buy it there(for 1 person). Dont know about nice rooms in the low 1000 baht range, someone else might?

  • 2 weeks later...

If you want a predictable international chain, a bit boring maybe. There is an Ibis hotel just up the soi from the plaza. And of course the Nana hotel directly opposite.

I've just booked a couple of nights invite Nana, by all accounts it's looking a bit tired these days but hell it's a legend!

Sure the Nana Hotel's a legend, even the roaches have latched on to that, it's possibly their favourite hotel  :Puke2:

I'm looking for the same for my 1st stay in Bangkok. Nana hotel sure look decrepit on it's website!

What's the internet like at Majestic Suites?

You can never take back ......
  • A moment after it's missed
  • A word after it's said
  • Time after it's been wasted

I stayed in Phachara suites in december, price was around 2000baht night, Large rooms with pentry and washing machine, Internet was not so good at my floor, Think it was 6th.

Breakfast was ok but nothing i would pay 250bath for if it wasnt included already. Check out On8 close to Nana, have only heard nice things for that one..

The Magestic Grande has everything. Its large, clean and girl friendly. Good pool and dining too. Across the street from Annies and 3 minutes walk from Nana.

I stayed at Amari Boulevard last week. A bit expensive for what it is but the breakfast was great.

Maybe five mins to NEP.

Dynasty Inn on Soi 4, only 100 meters to Nana. Cheap but no pool and not highest class. Dynasty Grande on Soi 6 a bit more money but pool and better rooms. 300 meters to Nana.

On Soi 8 Stale Lodge. Small and cheap. Pool and good kitchen. Soi 8 Adelphi Suites luxury suites, more expensive but breakfast included. Pool on top roof. More for money than Dynasty Grande. 5 minutes Walk to NEP.
