Insects but not from street vendors?

I want to eat insects but I dont trust the hygiene from the street vendors. Are there restaurants that offer them?

Just take your BF to a street vendor and ask if she would like some. If she trusts the vendor enough to eat them, you should be safe.

 

I bought a BF some grass hoppers, she was eating them like they were chips.

Tried the cart bugs a few times. Never impressed. Then, one of the girls took me to the village and made some fresh. Amazing difference. Quite tasty when made properly

Agree.Most of the insects you buy on the streets taste like they been fried in old engine oil......absolutely disgusting.But in new oil many of them taste absolutely fantastic   .

This creature about 3inches long flew into a friend's room and bit his girlfriend's finger. My friend managed to get it into a basin with water.

 

I took the photo and showed to some girls; one of them said that is a Mengda and she wanted it

 

I took her to the room and she took it away and ate it. I assume she cooked it first.

Oh come on! They are really not that bad. But when they are cooked in spent oil they are disgusting. I will never buy them from a street vendor again!

I have a big phobia and fear about insects...If I see these insects in my house I can not sleep and I can not touch even their dead bodies....
