The Cabinet Tuesday approved a draft directive of the Natural Resources and Environment Ministry to add African elephants and Malayan snail-eating turtles as protected species in line with the resolution of the CITES (the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora).
