How long in Thailand before can apply again for Aus Visa

My Thai GF is in Australia in the moment on a three month tourist visa. She will return to Thailand on January 10.

 

Does any one know how long she needs to be in Thailand before she can apply for another tourist visa. I thought it was three months but can find nothing on the Australian Embassy website.

 

One of her friends returned to Thailand and one week later applied for another visa to Australia. This was granted. 

 

I thought this was strange but need to ask.

 

Any help would be appreciated

She can apply pretty much straight away once back in Thailand, though after the 2nd issued tourist visa you'll probably have to apply for a fiance' visa (valid for 9 mths)...now i haven't applied for a tourist visa for many years now so things might have changed.

I believe that there is no prescribed time as they consider it on the merits of the application. Some people get three in a row while others get knocked back on the second application.

She has been twice...In Jan-March this year(2014) and again now Oct-Jan

They look for equal time in thailand and oz. Some days you have to spell it out to the dopey peeps so they see that.

Seen it a couple of times now. They jump to the conclusion if you don't point out the time here and there and reasons.
