Wonder how some places have been getting around the 5 year closure for underage?

Could it be possible that if the licensee's name and the name of the establishment both change then it's regarded as a new business?

If there were a ban it would apply to the property itself. Happened years ago to Barbie Bar on Soi Pothole for violating operating hours. I think it was third time they got busted they got slapped with a five year ban on the property during which time nobody could have a bar at that location. That's why it became Amon Massage for five years rather than a bar. When the ban ended "Massage" became "Bar".

I wonder what the catch is with this deal. I'll stop in Friday night and report back if there's more to the deal than what's on they flyer. Either way I'll some fun while I'm there. Check out their "Who thinks they can handle the 3 of us?" video post (link).

When I stopped in last night nobody knew anything about the 200B deal. I had to have them pull up their own post on FB and then the light bulb came on.

There's no catch to the deal, like having to put some of your own money on the token. You will have to give them your email and phone number to receive the token with 200B on it.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to collect on the 200B deal as it's only available on your first visit. I tried to convince them it was my first time, but for some reason they remembered my prior visits. Perhaps it was the games of topless Connect 4 and pool I played with them. :D

All was not lost though as the four ladies working consoled my bruised ego by graciously losing at the topless Connect 4 game. That's where if I win the top comes down and if they win I give up 20B to the winner. The purchase of LDs is required to begin the games.

That explains a couple of things - thanks 👍

My understanding of it ( and I freely admit I could be totally wrong here ) is that if the 5 year ban is applied itt doesn't matter who the licensee is or the name of the establishment. The ban is applied to the physical premises and address.

Not the first time in recent years I've seen a venue closed for underage reopen a few months later under. New name, so either I'm wrong or there are other negotiations happening we aren't aware of.

If someone rents the premises from the property owner and employs a minor there, what is the property owner supposed to do about it and why is he guilty of this?

That's how I've understood it as well but I guess there's a workaround that likely involves a lot of money 🤑

That's also confusing as I could see making a big payoff to reopen a closed location on WS or Soi6 but bongkot? Just open another hole in wall on that side of the street.

I'm with you, that the property owner is leasing it to a other party and not operating the business and therefore isn't responsible for what's happening on the site.

From what I have been told previously though they can be held responsible for allowing "illegal" operations to take place on a site they own. Bit of a minefield for the owner really if that is the case.
