Anyone stayed here?

 

Not 100% happy with the vlocation but for the price it looks excellent value for money. 

 

Interested in security re joiner, security box in rooms and shower strength.

Stayed at Mind on several occasions (last time 2 years ago).

 

+ Very good mini-apartment rooms, well furnished with good furniture and modern bathroom

+ Excellent security, on front desk and safe in room

+ Spotlessly clean

+ Girl friendly

+ Nice pool

 

- A lot of noisy grumpy Russians (that might have changed as the Rouble has tumbled).

 

The location isn't for everybody, but I enjoyed it at the time. 2 minutes walk to Second Rd and buses up to Drinking Street. Handy for Soi 6 and then onto BR.

I have read a few reviews on April Suites and they refer to a dodgy street that it is situated on?

 

I am unsure what this means? Perhaps you could let me know?

Its a small soi ,not very good streetlight but never had any probs coming back late.

Btw April Suites is much more a monger hotel than @.

Pool is also better and the staff friendlier.

From WS, Baht Bus second road to top Soi 6, and then 2 min walk. Or Taxi bike. Don't worry on security grounds 'cos thats no probs. The only location issue is if it suits your needs. I have now "relocated" to hotels around LK/Buhkaow, as I like the nightlife and it's handy for Thaigerline golf of a morning. I did see that @Mind prices appear to have dropped, this might be because the large number of Russians have stopped coming.

I stayed here a few years back now......the rooms are nice though there's HEAPS of Russians who stay there (with kids). If you want a quiet time lying by the pool relaxing, THINK AGAIN!

I stayed twice at @mind Bkk which is part of the same company but cheaper..Rather Chinese and Korean tourists there...

The comment regarding dodgy Soi to April Suites is a bit harsh. It is a small soi, but motorbike taxi, little local shop and a cheap laundry shop are on the street, so not noisy and overall a great budget hotel with very good standards. Always stay here and end up at around 1300 on Agoda for modern rooms with good staff, and nice rooftop pool, so don't be put off by the small soi, it's not at all a discouregment.

Stayed there many times, good access to Soi 6, some rooms are a little tired now and the aircon can be noisy, often the the rooms are listed for about $70/night but have regular times when they discount.

Any idea if they allow 2 girls back? Any joiner charges for the second girl?

I've brought two girls back and not had a problem however I have heard of a 500bht charge,if your early enough you can use a different entrance to the main one and dodge the fee of 2nd person
