November 2014 Walking Street GoGo crawl

Featured Replies

The Walking Street GoGo bar crawl will take place on Tuesday, 18th November 2014.

As always it will start with a meetup at Sweethearts Agogo at 9pm (21.00)

For those who have been on a previous crawl, especially the one early this week, you will know they are a lot of fun and great chance to meet old friends and make some new ones.

At this early stage there is no itinerary, not any particular ideas so please suggest gogo bars you would like to visit. We try to keep the crawls either on "theme" (as per Octobers "naughty bars" theme) or within a certain locale to make it easy to move from bar to bar.

For example - one idea muted before was a Covent Garden crawl. That has rather died a death due to the demise of XZone but gives an idea of how we can attempt to limit the walking time between bars.

One other thing to bear in mind is the size of the bars - we do struggle to all fit in to the small gogos.

So, over to you guys - its your call really.

EDIT

The itinerary has now been decided on and is

Sweethearts Agogo - 21.00 meet up

Glasshouse

Heaven Above

Sapphire Club

Private Dancer

Babydolls

My only suggestion is that you split it roughly 50/50 between new venues and previous ones which have been successful and deserve repeat business.

Remember that for new arrivals all the GoGos will be new ones.

Never been on one of these but would love to come along as I'm in Patts then!

Could throw in the Russian Cabaret to blow peoples minds. Unlike Galaxy its not a scam, but can be pricy.

I work for The Pattaya News in Pattaya, Thailand. I run monthly meetups and bar crawls.

How many usually on such a crawl? Does it get unwieldy with too many?

Edited by rcbryce

I'm in, curious about the Russian detour as I have no experience of that particular brand of WS madness. I'm sure it's awful, and would never brave it alone... Exciting times my friends...

I'm in.

That's the night that Scotland play England in a "Friendly".

It will be 3AM kick off in Patts.

It varies from crawl to crawl. Usually we have approx 25-35 people and this reduces a little each gogo as some people stay where they were or simply "lose" us.

We consider 25-30 to be fairly ideal, indeed 25 I would say is optimum. We monitor here who is coming and although we cannot be 100% accurate we get a good feel for numbers and if they are sky rocketing we slow down the promotion and/or amend the itinerary to larger bars.

Thus far nothing has got "unweildy" - we try to keep numbers under 35 as any more than that we struggle to get in half the gogos especially the small or popular ones. For example we had to "miss out" Windmill on Tuesday because we still had 30 guys in Babydolls and Windmill was already quite busy so we detoured as there was absolutely no way we would "fit in". The crawls are well oprganised, someone goes ahead to the next gogo bar on his own to check if they are both ready for us and not already full.

Always look on the bright *sights* of live!

How much to budget for the crawl, roughly, for a good time out ?

That's a very good point Edge. Any favourites?

We normally do 6 bars per crawl and I'd say anything from 100 or 200 baht to 1000 baht per bar depending on how quick you drink, how many lady drinks you buy, how much you tip and if you barfine a girl or not.

Thanks. Good info. I hope to make it too.

I am in town so Count me in

+1 more I will be there for this crawl :GoldenSmile1:

I am in for this sounds fun, I just hope I don't get too distracted on the way to sweethearts lol!

Count me in.   Sounds like a lot of fun and the Russian bar sounds interesting.  I've never ventured inside of one because of all the stories I've heard but with a decent size group I can't see the harm.

My second trip to pattaya, arriving on the 12th so I will definitely be up for this crawl, haven't been to any agogo's yet so this should be interesting. :) :)
