From BKK, Going to Ratchaburi, then Cha-Am, need advice

Hi all, I am heading over to Ratchaburi on Oct 30 or 31 to meet a sweet young thing going to University near there, meeting on Friday... Depending on how things go, we may go down to Cha-Am beach area that evening for a night, then back to Ratchaburi on Saturday.  I need to be back in BKK on Sunday...

 

I know I can take a bus or a train to Ratchaburi, but once there I am curious about what is available for transportation...  My friend says there are no taxis there, is this true?

 

My plan is to take the train from BKK, then use taxis or a hired car and driver to go to the beach and back...

 

Can anyone tell me one way or the other about Ratchaburi and transport from there?

Not sure about Chaam but if you want to go back to Bangkok there used to be buses running from by the Numsin hotel every 30 mins or so. 100 bhat ish. That was a few years ago so maybe someone here will have up to date info. Failing that ask in the correvt sub forum over on Thai visa.

I can handle getting to and from Ratchaburi from BKK, it is the Ratchaburi to Chaam and back to Ratchaburi I am working on...

 

I cannot imagine I cannot hire a car and driver or rent a car there, but my friend says I can't...  I am guessing she just doesn't know...

You can matey hire and ask anybody pkenty will offer services did same the other year Cha Am aint got much in it better go another half hr into Hua Hin for things to do

 

Driver including fuel for day be about 1 k and will know about big buddha monkey hill fliating market 1 and 2

 

Fuxk cha am daddee and hope she turns up had a few bail on me around thailand before maybe because they young or whatever 5555
