Taxi ride bangkok airport to pattaya

I just need a bit of advice 3 people are traveling from Bangkok airport to pattaya , I usually travel alone go downstairs get a taxi from the

 

rank 1500 baht , I'm not sure if 3 people plus luggage can fit into one ?.

 

Can anyone recommend a larger taxi / mini bus reliable service , and cost involved , cheers  steve.

It depends on how much luggage you have and how large the volume of your luggage will.
Taxi meter are often on gas and if you have a large amount of luggage you will never enter. Medium size liggage with a bit of luck in three people can use the taxi meter.

Mr T or you CAN get a minibus from the airport, look around for the stalls as you exit (helpfully they sometimes have pictures of cars and minibuses so you can identify them!). Will cost a bit more then MrT but split between 3 of you wont be too bad.

Another option is Tans taxi http://www.tanstaxi.com/, a bit more expensive then Mr T 1200 baht, she has a couple of cars and drivers now, if you let her know what your requirements i am sure she will be able to help.  I have had a couple of problems with the drivers Mr T uses over the years (including in all fairness many good ones) so happy to pay the extra, for what has been consistent good service.

Try this young lady - Meow (as in cat sound)

She uses a Camry (be sure to mention it in your email)

1000 each way and I tip 100 - but its luxurious and the driving is safe

Never use anyone else now - Mr T and the others a tad unreliable, crappy cars with hair dryer engines and crazy drivers

 

 

 

Meow told me she has an Innova at her disposal - apparently its a 7 seater - so right size for 3 people and cases

I watched a film once called 3 men and a baby or some such name.

 

3 guys went from the US to the UK for a holiday and rented a car.

Now these guys,,Tom Selleck,Ted Danson and some other dude are all big six foot plus guys,so it amazed me to see that they rented a mini.

Yes you got it, 3 massive dudes in a car not much bigger than a matchbox.

 

Plus luggage....!

I used to religiously use Mr T, but the last 3/4 trips he's either been unavailable or been busy and gotten some random dude in a shitbox car to do the job, who then drove like a. Madman. So I now use pattaya limo service, they have nice modern clean cars, and has always been a lady driver, who has driven calmly. Little bit more expensive but IMO well worth it. 1200 pattaya to airport.

Check out pttaxiservice.com . I have used them many times, sometimes needing a minivan on short notice and they have always come thru. Can book online or phone. Competitive pricing and good service.

This is not the first time I'm using Tans taxi , been with her a few times ,i'ts 1200 baht to pattaya and 1500 to jomtien (with the car) last time I stayed at residence gardens

i'ts on your way to jomtien ,but not in jomtien and she charged me 1500 baht , I just thought it was a bit mean for a regular customer.

I thought this time 1500 for 3 people (staying on soi baukoa ) with the bigger car Honda CRX was ok. On the plus side she uses safe drivers.

He is not cheaper - there are loads of people all the same price - its just that he has probably more drivers than anyone else and was heavily promoted on the forums

 

Meow has the same prices but its in a Camry - I know who I would prefer to go with...

Used Mr T both ways, September in and October back home.

Both ways it was a people carrier type although only 5 seats due to the gas cylinder.

On time and driven sensibly.
