Hi,

I need a cheap hotel this time, I'm skint and so on a bit of a budget (oh dear I'll have to spend all my time on Soi 6 rather than the gogos :D ). I usually stay at April Suites and have stayed at 18 Coins before but was wondering about Siam View Residence

Has anyone been and know what it's like? Or can anyone suggest a cheap, sub £15 a night option? Clean place, safe in room, wifi in room and a pool?

Thanks for any advice guys!

When are you going?

Sabai Lodge is 800 baht a night until the end of September. Think it's 850 in October. 3 pools. Think wifi OK.

On Soi 2 so not too far from Soi 6.

Not too much over £15 a night??

Thanks, that's an option I'd not considered. Hoping to get there Oct 7th. Only for a week.

Pattaya Bay Resorts about 1100baht in October I believe. Not a bad place and ok location. Not sure on building and construction works at the mo tho.

Thanks, bit more than i wanted to spend though. I'd rather edge nearer £10 than up to £20 :)

Hggcraig - Chow Soy looks interesting, I've Pm'd the guy but probably booked out by now.

Nice newly renovated rooms from 600b per night, plenty of pics and some reviews in the thread. No pool but Siam Sawasdee on the corner or Mikes let you use theirs for about 100b.

You mentioned Nova Park, and I was bored, so had a look on ebookers.

7 nts from Oct 7 is a total of £81.80 if you use promo code SMILE15.

The code is meant to expire midnight tonight!

I've no idea what the hotel is like, so please don't take this as a recommendation :-)

You may also want to check Trivago as I often find better rates there.

Why not just stay on the six?

Plenty of bars with rooms above for rent

You would also save on transportation costs from guest house to the. Six

Thanks guys, Trivago is a good idea. Canterburytales I hadn't considered but will.

Pheat - I've thought about staying on the Six but I think it'll cost me more over the holiday. Looking out and seeing those girls all the time will lead to 'just popping downstairs quickly'. I'll end up blowing more than my budget on unplanned STs! Also noise, I like a bit of peace and quiet. That's why April Suites suits me so well, I just can't afford that atm :(

Take a look at hotel Dania: http://hoteldaniapattaya.com/english/ Smaller rooms with the balcony from 700bht about £13. They have a restaurant and the pool. Very friendly service. Located at the southern part of Soi Buakhao, baht buses for the both directions. Pretty quiet area even there is some bar complexes near.
