Edit button removed on old post

Hi,

I cannot edit my old post anymore. The edit-button is gone.

I am keeping an list of people coming to the October Roll but somehow I cannot edit my previous post.

On new posts I do have the edit-button again.

One possible reason might be that my status recently changed from "member" to "member+".

I assume that you only get an edit-button if the person "logged on" is the same as the person who made the post.

Can it be that when comparing these 2 persons, that also the status is checked? That should not be correct I think.

Anyway I think it is strange I cannot edit my old posts.

Keep up the good work. I like your forum

Thanks

Just Paste and copy what you have done then place it down in a following thread with your edits

Yes, you can only Edit your own posts.** The Edit button disappears after 2 days.

** You can quote someone else's post and then alter it.

But as empty experiences go, it is one of the best.

Ok, Thanks.

That explains it.

I dont see the point of removing the edit button after 2 days.

But if that is how it work, it is fine with me.

I just copy the old post in a new one.

Thanks
