Review - Canterbury Tales Cafe

Buttman Returns

Recommended Posts

Hi Ironfist.

We only have 1 room with 2 bedrooms firstly, that one is booked long term, most rooms have a separate bedroom and lounge we do have security cams actually but no 24hour reception but many guys like the discretion of not walking past staring staff, that's why many choose particularly building A because of the discreet back door.

If your worried about checking ID's because of girls age then maybe if you think they are too young then dont take them, we have an electronic safe in each room and I must say never had issues with stealing as its common knowledge to use the safe so nothing can be stolen.

I guess also you could have an argument with a girl where ever you are, I wouldn't worry about having a 24hr reception making a difference, again this has never been an issue.

I think the proof is in the fact we are busy all year round and often full, the way forward in Pattaya is to not put opportunities in the girls way such as leaving valuables laying around, when you get to your room where ever you stay, ask them to go shower, while in there put all valuables in the safe, that eliminates theft.

I hope this helps, cheers Dave

thanks Dave

" most rooms have a separate bedroom and lounge" does that mean in one unit there are 2 bedrooms and 2 lounges?

so building A got front and rear entrance, but the others only got front entrances?

stayed at ct in oct, first time i stayed in guesthouse in Thailand. Normally stay in mid range hotels with pool etc. But must

admit i preferred my stay in CT, more like a small apartment than a guesthouse room. room 8b is top floor,Bedroom and lounge are seperated by

archway with a curtain, bags of room, cable tv, dvd player if you want to watch films etc. basic furniture but comfortable.

Didnt mind spending a couple of nights in rather than go out. All for 500 baht a night low season.

It suits me as I like my privacy and like lots of space, especially if I have a guest :) great having the seperate living area as means

can do my own thing while guest sleeping or whatever.

Few minor down sides, mainly the noise from karaoke on a few nights. Didnt seem to bother the girl i was with but kept me awake most of

night on a couple of occasions, There seems to be a room above 8b where some girls live ? they were noisy a few times, but hey this is thailand

Didnt speak with Dave while i was there, but Keith was more always there to offer help if needed.

Hope to be back in Patts in June and would gladly stay at CT again.

Should have added, in great location. Chaiyapoon has a few bars to enjoy cheap beer with happy hours. LK Metro and dianna ae good places

to hang out and are only few mins walk away. Few agogo around, better value than Walking Street, lots of food on offer in cafes/bar/street

vendors etc, 15 mins tops walk to beach, 2nd road /mike shopping centre 5 mins, on songthaew circuit from soi buakow.

Met a couple of girls from the Office agogo in Barbies one night, they went there after the office closed. Great fun, but was night

I pulled an all nighter and didnt go home until 7am, (all of 20 yards walk). Sat on balcony in the afternoon and the girls appeared

on the balcony across the street, above crazy daves.

Have stayed most areas of pattaya including Jomtien and Naklua and decided Chaiyapoon/Lengkee place for me from now on.

All drugs have two names, a trade name and generic name.

Example, the trade name is Tylenol and it's generic name is Acetaminophen.. Aleve is also called Naproxen.

Amoxil is also called Amoxicillin and Advil is also called Ibuprofen.

The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra.

After careful consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced that it has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin.

Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course, Ibepokin.

Pfizer Corp. announced today that Viagra will soon be available in Liquid form, and will be marketed by Pepsi Cola as a power beverage suitable for use as a mixer..

It will now be possible for a man to literally pour himself a stiff one.

Obviously we can no longer call this a soft drink, and it gives new meaning to the names of 'cocktails', 'highballs' and just a good old-fashioned 'stiff drink'.

Pepsi will market the new concoction by the name of: MOUNT & DO.

Thought for the day: There is more money being spent on breast implants and Viagra today than on Alzheimer's research.

This means that by 2020, there should be a large elderly population with perky boobs and huge erections and absolutely no recollection of what to do with them.

Not sure, what this has to do with “accommodation” however it did make me laugh as I sit here in your cafe eating one of your infamous breakfasts at 1700hrs.

Husband Store

A store that sells new husbands has opened in Pattaya City , where a

woman may

go to choose a husband. Among the instructions at the entrance is a

description

of how the store operates:

You may visit this store ONLY ONCE! There are six floors and the value of

the products increase as the shopper ascends the flights. The shopper may

choose any item from a particular floor, or may choose to go up to the next floor,

but you cannot go back down except to exit the building!

So, a woman goes to the Husband Store to find a husband. On the first

floor the sign on the door reads:

Floor 1 - These men Have Jobs

She is intrigued, but continues to the second floor, where the sign reads:

Floor 2 - These men Have Jobs and Love Kids.

'That's nice,' she thinks , 'but I want more.'

So she continues upward. The third floor sign reads:

Floor 3 - These men Have Jobs, Love Kids, and are Extremely Good Looking.

'Wow,' she thinks, but feels compelled to keep going.

She goes to the fourth floor and the sign reads:

Floor 4 - These men Have Jobs, Love Kids, are Drop-dead Good Looking and

Help With Housework.

'Oh, mercy me!' she exclaims, 'I can hardly stand it!'

Still, she goes to the fifth floor and the sign reads:

Floor 5 - These men Have Jobs, Love Kids, are Drop-dead Gorgeous, Help

with Housework, and Have a Strong Romantic Streak.

She is so tempted to stay, but she goes to the sixth floor, where the sign reads:

Floor 6 - You are visitor 31,456,012 to this floor. There are no men on this

floor. This floor exists solely as proof that women are impossible to please.

Thank you for shopping at the Husband Store.

PLEASE NOTE:

To avoid gender bias charges, the store's owner opened a New Wives store just

across the street.

The first floor has wives that love sex.

The second floor has wives that love sex and have money and like beer.

The third, fourth, fifth and sixth floors have never been visited.

Something I have put up in Canterbury Tales, could be really useful.

4 Things you may not know about mobile phones, can come in handy.

There are a few things that can be done in times of grave

emergencies. Your mobile phone can actually

be a life saver or an emergency tool for survival.

Check out the things that you can do with it:

FIRST

The Emergency Number worldwide for all Mobile Phones

is 112. If you find yourself out of the coverage area of your

mobile network and there is an emergency, dial 112

and your mobile will search any existing network in your area to establish the emergency

number for you, and interestingly this number 112 can be dialed even

if the keypad is locked. This works on all phones worldwide and is free. It is the equivalent of 000.

SECOND

Have you locked your keys in the car?

Does your car have remote keyless entry? This may come in handy someday. Good

reason to own a cell phone:

If you lock your keys in the car and the spare keys are at home, call

someone at home on their mobile phone from your cell phone.

Hold your cell phone about a foot from

your car door and have the person at your home press the unlock

button, holding it near the mobile phone on their end.

Your car will unlock. Saves someone from having to drive

your keys to you. Distance is no object. You could be thousands of miles away,

and if you can reach someone who has the other 'remote' for your car, you can

unlock the doors (or the trunk).

Editor’s Note: I didn’t believe this when I heard about it! I rang my daughter in Sydney from Perth when we went on holiday. She had the spare car key. We tried it out and it unlocked our car over a mobile phone!'

THIRD Hidden Battery Power

To activate, press the keys *3370# (remember the asterisk). Do this when the phone is almost dead.

Your mobile will restart in a special way with this new reserve and the instrument will show a 50%

increase in battery life. This reserve will get re charged when you charge your mobile next time.

This secret is in the fine print in most phone manuals. Most people however skip this information without realizing.

FOURTH

How to disable a STOLEN mobile phone?

To check your Mobile phone's serial

number, key in the following digits on your phone: * # 0 6 #

Ensure you put an asterisk BEFORE the #06# sequence.

A 15 digit code will appear on the screen. This number is unique to

your handset. Write it down and keep it somewhere safe. If your

phone ever gets stolen, you can phone your service provider and give them

this code. They will then be able to block your handset so even if

the thief changes the SIM card, your phone will be totally useless.

You probably won't get your phone back,

but at least you know that whoever stole it can't use/sell it either. If

everybody done this, there would be no point in people

stealing mobile phones.

This secret is also in the fine print of most mobile phone manuals. It was created for the very purpose of trying to prevent phones from being stolen.

Also -ATM PIN Number Reversal - Good to Know!!

If you should ever be forced by a robber to withdraw money from an ATM

machine, you can notify the police by entering your PIN # in

reverse. For example, if your pin number is 1234, then you would put

in 4321. The ATM system recognizes that your PIN number is backwards

from the ATM card you placed in the machine. The machine will still

give you the money you requested, but unknown to the robber, the

police will be immediately dispatched to the location.

All ATM’s carry this emergency sequencer by law.

Does that mean no one is allowed to choose a symmetric PIN such as 4114?

Hi Phil

I suppose it would be logical for the bank system to reject numbers such as this for it to be able to work.

Dont you ever get sick and tired of living in Pattaya? I stayed for one month dec 2010 and the last two weeks i was so tired of it all.

I lived in the UK before here, weather pretty crap, not much of a social life as I did not drink alcohol in UK, as I was in a driving job and anything over 1 beer and your doomed, plus all the smoky pubs and so many frustrated people all they want to do is fight half the time, Golf was expensive and if you were lucky to get a nice day, ex wife not far away and kids, bless em.

constant flow of bills squeezing more and more of my hard earned cash, as for Women well HA.

I moved to Thailand over 6 yrs ago and have been born again, I work hard here but you get your rewards and keep them here, I play Golf on some of the nicest courses in the world, I go and have a few beers often, I have made some good mates, have a nice house and car and when I am feeling frisky I can go and remedy that too, although I am happily married of course.

Now what was the question again.
