Its along Naklua, up from the Dolphin R/about, next to Ryans bar, but the cutest Nurse is away at the moment with a long timer apparently.

She was back in there last night but apparently not for long, another focal point for finding it is its almost opposite Bon Cafe coffee shop.

very busy now, most of the people are saying this is as busy as this time last year, I tend to agree, I think its the temples that people are coming for.

  • 2 weeks later...

just stayed with dave at canterbury tales for the last month and i would like to add my bit about the place.

The accommodation is spot on, rooms are great, clean, and worth every BAHT..... i have no complaints at all apart from trying to get dave out for a drink or two in the evenings.

Rooms are excelent value, only thing i could call a problem would be my safe, it wouldnt stop beeping if i used the code so i took batteries out and used the key (absolutely no problem at all)SORRY BUT I LIKE TO GIVE THE MOST BALANCED REVIEWS I CAN

The food is spot on, cheap plentiful and as english as you like it.

The breakfasts are some of the best i ate in thailand and i ate them several times a weeks and i can say they are consistent and SAME SAME everyday.

The very best thing about the place was the hot shower, every girls i stayed at had a cold bloody shower which i cant stand!!!!!!

Everything about the place is great value, books, food, rooms everything.

If your new to thailand and need a friendly hotel owner who is happy to help and offer advice day and night and want to stay somewhere that is close to everything then Canterbury tales is the place for you.

Thank you for the pleasant experience dave. sorry about the lack of muay thai :D

did i mention it was good value???

While I'm sure you have showers, none of the bathrooms in the photos seem to have one. What's up with that? Shower behind the door maybe?

best to wait for dave here but both my room and my cousens in building B both had hot showers in them.

Thanks Justin, It was good to meet you mate and look forward to next time and sure we will have a few beers, all rooms as standard have hot showers, DVD players, in room safes, etc and most of the time they work ok, I guess with the beeping the batteries were running low or it could have been simply Made in Thailand.

All the best for 2010
