THE THAI Journalists Association (TJA) expressed concern Saturday at the ruling junta's order issued on Friday night barring all media from criticising its work.

Not surprised with this... They seem to be engaging in pay back politics currently.

All things considered, it's pretty clear to me that Thailand is better off with mil junta than with the former government.  I believe the junta's firm authority has provided the country with stability needed for economic growth to benefit all Thais.  The former government was perceived by many to be a corrupt, poorly-functioning democracy.....which reminds me of a certain republic in the western hemisphere.  The eventual outcome here will be an interesting test case for other democracies suffering from similar problems.  Let's all keep our fingers crossed!
