Flying with Etihad on the 23rd July

On the 23rd July I am flying with Etihad from Manchester UK to Thailand via abu Dahbi

I'm on the 09:25 flight from Manchester to Abu Dahbi

Before the flight I will be having a drink in the airports bar if anyone on the same flight has me wants to join us

I am also on the 21:40 flight from Abu Dhabi flight to Bangkok.  If the flight is out of T3 I can be found at the Bill Bentley pub having a beer or two.  If the flight is out of T1 (unlikely but not impossible) I will have a drink in the bar.  So anybody is on that flight then please feel free to join me for a beer (or two if time allows)

I'm flying out the next day from dub-bkk, otherwise I would have definitely dropped in. Enjoy your travels

Wish I was in your shoes , have a safe trip , loves to go with excitement , Probably the best departure in the world if going to BKk.

Hi Blue

I aslo flew with Etihad for my May/June trip excellent airline also flying again Etihad for my

October/November trip London Heathrow>>Abu-Dhabi>>Bangkok and return

I hope your flight from Abu-Dhabi EY402 leaves on time but be prepared for delays up to 1hour

on this flight it never seems to get away on time.

For this reason i have changed my return flight next trip to avoid returning on Flight EY 403 at 08.35am

due to the late incoming flight EY402, I am now returning on the overnight flight EY407 at 02.30am.

Tonights flight EY402 left Abu-Dhabi at 10.40pm and estimated time of arrival Bangkok is 08.19am.

Have a good trip i'm sure you won't be bothered by any delays at Abu-Dhabi time for an extra beer or two.

On my return flight last trip from Bangkok EY402 did not arrive at departure gate until 9.00am so it met a

delayed departure for me until 11.00am meaning they had to hold the flight to Heathrow EY17 for us.

Hi Rainsberger I am a regular traveler with Etihad.  I think they are a very good airline.  I always book the morning flight from Manchester (EY16) because the connecting from from Abu Dahbi (EY402) gets me to BKK about 7am in the morning(thai time).  This means I will be in Pattaya about 10am or 10:30am.  I love these times because I get to Pattaya early in the morning and if I am feeling tired I can have a rest and feel OK when I go out in the evening.  And over the years these flights have generally been on time.  Just FYI I dont normally feel tired when I arrive in Pattaya so in the afternoon I always hit Soi 6 for a st...lol

For my return flights I always like to get the night flight (EY401) which this summer takes of at 20:35.  This means I can have a great last night without worrying about getting up early the next morning.  And my connecting flight at Abu Dhabi (EY15) takes of at 02:30 in the morning and lands at Manchester at 07:25.  This is also a great time for getting back to England because I will get home in the morning.  And because I always suffer from Jet lag flying home I can have a sleep in the daytime so that at night I can try and go to bed at my normal time.  And these return flights are normally OK.  They usually take off on time or with a slight delay

    • Hi Guys

As many of you know we have been running now for 16 years and apart from one brief time when we were allowed PayPal, so could use the inbuilt donation function, we have tried to avoid asking for donations. We have certainly avoided being in anyones face about it.

      Sadly that has now changed.

The forum currently costs around $900 a month to operate. That includes Bangkok and Philippines but PA makes up the vast majority of it. This fee covers forum hosting, image hosting, notification emails and support.

Before anyone says "its expensive" please be aware we have tried for years to find better for cheaper - it just doesn't exist for the size we are. Also a lot of hosts wont Touch us anyway. Our current host is actually cheaper than the previous one but that brings its own problems.

      Moving on -

I would like to stress there is NO obligation whatsoever. Also, whatever happens the forum is going no-where!

Donators can CHOOSE to have their donation listed (probably in this thread or we can make a new one) or to remain anonymous. Likewise they can CHOOSE whether the amount is published or not.

There is no minimum, or maximum for that matter. ANY donation will be very gratefully received. We are very aware that many members are also having it tough these days.

We are still unable to promote/post PayPal addresses etc on the forum so would ask that anyone who would like to make a donation to PM me, or ask me here to PM you and we will sort out details via that PM.
