How can I change the below to actually see the picture saved on my phone as an icon?

Looks like Windows 7

 

If it is go to "Organize" at top left of screen.

Select "folder and search options"

Second tab, under "view", in the advanced settings tab, very first line shown should be "Always show icons, never thumbnails"

Is that checked?
